The best thing about this motel is the staff. The desk clerks were friendly and efficient, and provided warm and kind greetings. The breakfast was excellent with hot food and lots of choices. The person in charge of the breakfast room addressed me by my name the second day we were here! The pool is large, it's older but we still did a bit of waterwalking. If it had been a bit warmer, I would have enjoyed it more. Our room was not renovated, but it was quiet, clean, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed six nights while visiting family and the price was good.

There were several issues with the hotel, most of which were addressed by the owner based on a review I posted on Google. The one chronic problem was housekeeping not checking daily to resupply coffee, TP/tissue, empty trash. Their website states housekeeping checks rooms daily, but they don't, even after I complained. Renovated rooms are nice, staff is polite. Be aware there are busy train tracks behind the hotel that might wake you if you're not normally used to hearing them. Paid for my stay in advance which I regret doing as I was ready to change hotels on day 3.

Staff was wonderful. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times under different brands. It definitely is due for a refresh. I believe it was built @1974. Shelly at breakfast does a nice job. Location is good for my visits.

The motel is under renovation as Holiday Inn will be taking control of the property. It’s a solid place. Staff tries hard to help. Free breakfast is really good considering what it would cost at a diner. Rooms are good. Nothing amazing but this is not a 5 star hotel. The bed is comfortable and the rooms overall clean. It’s an excellent place for the cost in my opinion. I stay here to visit my son at college. It’s a solid option. That should mean enough to anyone reading this because 95% of my stays are at 5 Star resorts. Not a brag, just a fact. Expectations based on reality is very important when reviewing anything.
