the bad and the good

The bed was too firm for me and many people screaming in the hallway in the middle of the night, made it difficult to sleep well. The parking garage is cramped and is not worth the $34 fee. Bump up to valet would be worth not dealing with that situation. The staff is very nice and the pool/hot tub/gym is great.

SUPER ILL TREATED - REMOTE BAD ROOM GIVEN

BAD SERVICE AT DESK: The concierge had to get the desk clerks to quit talking to each others to help check us in when we arrived. Maybe training nut no acknowledgement from anyone for awhile, despite no one in line. Disgusted expressions. Get our keys and learned we are put in King (booked online showed Deluxe room with 2 beds) and called with response that "we are overbooked and no queens left. Our records show you reserved a King." Checked online record on laptop and pic on my reservation from Hotels.com says Deluxe room with a pic of 2 queens. But more importantly. from that site and two others learned I could for sure book 2 queens for that very night even now! Went back down and shared with one of the two reservations and she said, Okay, then asked me to go back up, and completely vacate room and come back down and then she'd assign new room. She was gone when returned -- but the other woman said, "nope, she was wrong". We are 'negative -47 rooms'. I said, do you want me to show you that rooms are availabland she said,with disgust, "You did not order right, but I'll do it anyway". So I was given a new room (how can you be -47 rooms, have open availability online to buy, and have someone lie straight to your face just to dress you down before serving you). Received room furthest away from everything! (felt like a punishment). Walk was hard on my veinous insufficiency with luggage and hurt to get there each time. No shampoo in receptacle. Or conditioner. BAD

I spent an hour trying to figure out how to get into the parking lot - the road I needed to take to get into the property was blocked off and it appeared illegal to enter. In general, Signage outside and inside the hotel is too small. Once inside, the computers were malfunctioning and it took 20 minutes waiting standing in line to check in. I sympathize with the staff since it was not their fault, but they were quite impersonal and not particularly friendly. Parking was also inconvenient, quite a walk from the lobby. The room was comfortable and in good condition. It would have been nice to have more overhead light.

Nice hotel in downtown area of Omaha. No shuttle is available after midnight so we had to take a taxi. The cleaning crew was cleaning by 9 a.m. and we were not up yet. It seems like they could have a list of which rooms had not yet checked out. I would recommend putting a do not disturb on your door if you are not checking out early.
