If I could rate no stars I would, there was dead bugs, food on the back of the door, the ceiling fans had caked dust on them, the toilet ran the entire stay, you could also hear everything, people talking, toilets flushing, horrible

Loved the pool area with a Tiki bar. Only 1 of 5 area grills was functional. Property perimeter was open. It was difficult to reach the front desk for help, when we did they were very nice.

Disappointing

During our recent six-day stay at Calypso Cay, we experienced several issues that fell short of our expectations and the standards represented on your website. The two rooms we stayed in were significantly outdated compared to the photos shown online. Additionally, I left behind a sentimental item in one of the rooms. I contacted the front desk, but unfortunately received little assistance. I also attempted to recover the item through your text service, with no response. In contrast, I’ve stayed at other resorts where staff were proactive and eager to help return lost items—something I was hoping to experience here as well. At this point, I can only assume the item may have been taken by housekeeping after our departure. We also made a request via the text service for clean towels during our stay, but those were never delivered to our rooms. On top of that, the clothes dryer in our unit was not working, and the water in both the bathrooms and kitchen had a strong, unpleasant sewer-like odor. Unfortunately, given these multiple issues, I do not see myself or my family returning to Calypso Cay in the future.

When we called front desk to ask to have our TV fixed , the front desk picked up, put us on hold without saying a word, then blocked our room phone , which never worked again until we went to the front desk to inform them, the next day then the phone was working when we returned to our room .

The day we checked in the person on the front desk seemed like she did not know what she was doing... did not provide any information about the place I ended up getting my bands for the pool the next day it was our understanding we had access to everything in the hotel but we had to pay for the zip line, rock climbing etc...$ 5 per ride or $16 for a day. The room furniture and kitchen cabinets were not clean worts of all over the week we had to get rid of a few roaches. Water heater was a hit or miss and so was the ac . Pools are nice but no lifeguards at all one kid almos drowned when we were there.

Wont stay again

Booked our 1 night stay on hotels.com for a 1 bedroom villa with jetted tub. Welp nothing like looking forward to a nice relaxing jetted tub after a long day to being told our room choice wasnt available due to being overbooked with owners and gave us a different one they had available with absolutely no compensation of any kind or for that matter any care in the world. They absolutely do NOT care about the average person just coming to stay. They said oh you booked third party take it up with them theres nothing we can do for you. So i contact hotels.com and after 7pm at night they give me two options either change hotels which would be packing up all our stuff and moving or just give me my $40 credit which i earned from other stays that i used toward the 1 night stay which was in total over $140. So basically lost either way. So when choosing a room here just keep in mind the photos and descriptions may or not be what you wind up getting very misleading.

Not a good experience

This has not been the best experience. The staff member who didnthe check in made a mistake and had us to check out the next day. When I went to the office another member tried to give me a different room once I got to the next room there was people in it!!! Then I went back to the main office demanding a manager and no manager is avaliable... at the end got the same room back when I already had all my belongings packed out the room. The resort kept blaming Hotels.com and said to complain to them. Staff in the common area wont even greet you... how ever the cleaning staff seems to have a better idea of what customer service is... they should be promoted!! I still have 6 more nights here hopefully it all got resolved.
