We rented this cottage with our family while attending our granddaughter's Cheer Competition in Orlando and in our research of where to stay, were pleased by the lovely photos. This rental has tons of potential because of its proximity to Orlando, the quiet neighborhood, the pool area and the lovely natural outdoor views out back. However, the interior has multiple issues. It needs a deep cleaning and many upgrades. Examples include: holes in the bedsheets and rips in the bedspread in the master bed, dirty towels found in the master bath, ripped patio chair, broken patio side table, dirt and mold around windows, windows unable to stay open (we used trashcans to prop them open), dusty furniture, substandard cleaning equipment to clean the place ourselves, old and very thin towels, lumpy and dirty bed pillows, bathroom sink upstairs that would not drain, and so much more. When we shared our concerns with the host, he told us he was "1000's of miles away so my ability to help is somewhat limited." We understood his distance from the property but replied that if he was not able to make the needed, necessary repairs and upgrades, as the owner he had the responsibility to have management take care of these negative areas. We did not even request it to happen when we were there, but certainly for the comfort of future guests. As decades of renting from VRBO's throughout the USA and abroad, we have never once had concerns with our rental. This was a first ever complaint anywhere.
