The white older man that works there on the second floor in the mornings at breakfast and helps cleans is very nice! I really like him. He has great customer service skills. He had helped my sister and I get familiar with the area and he’s very talkative which I like! Great guy, great employee!

Wow, what an ideal location smack dab in the middle of everything: riverfront with barge and recreational boats plus steamboat activity, inclined plane going up and down the mountain, above ground subway, and trains passing regularly. Restaurants galore within walking distance. We strolled across the bridge to see even more restaurants and entertainment on the north shore of the city. Pittsburgh has cleaned itself up nicely and is well worth a visit, so put it on your list. Didn’t like paying $45 for valet parking and these flat, square bathroom sinks don’t drain well. Otherwise breakfast included with a panoramic city view, superb choice.

The breakfast was fantastic. However, we accidentally left our jackets in the room closet. I called back within two hours after checking out before it had been rented and let the front desk know about it. She said she would take care of it immediately and let me know. After two days when I had not heard back, I called again and was told I needed to file a lost item report which I immediately did. I am still waiting to hear back. I have a feeling we will never see our jackets again. One was old but the other was a new one that we had bought on our beach vacation. I'm sure the employees or new tenant thought it was a great deal.

The 2nd floor smelled stale. We were moved to the 3rd floor and the smell improved. The lobby is beautiful and updated, but the rooms are not. Staff was accommodating with switching rooms. This hotel is not located in a great area of Pittsburgh. There weren’t many restaurants or shops in the area. If we travel to the city again, we would not stay at this hotel.

The staff were great but the dirtiness was such a put off. The showers looked as if they hadn’t been washed in weeks. The bathroom over all was very dirty except for the sink. The beds were not comfortable. Parking is such a pain that you must pay for valet service. No parking near by. Other than the staff this place was a true disappointment.

Nice hotel. Good location, easy walk to downtown. Room was kind of dark, not enough lamps. Breakfast was not impressive, more like best western, with poor coffee.
