Puamana 25A is a well-maintained, spacious vacation home offering 1200 square feet of comfort, privacy, and a fantastic location on Kaua'i’s North Shore! With its charming vintage character, this home provides everything you need for a relaxing stay, including the comfort of full air-conditioning, a fully appointed kitchen, and a cheerful, light-filled living and dining space. The beautiful new luxury floors throughout the house provide a touch of island indulgence, and the two private lanais are the perfect spot to enjoy the mild tropical weather!

Situated in one of the most popular spots on the North Shore, Puamana 25A is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path. The Princeville Shopping Center is just 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store and all the shopping and dining options you could want, including delicious, locally-churned ice cream at Lappert's! You can also visit the farmer's market every Saturday morning, and grab a bite before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab and go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and dining options, the picturesque island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away.

If running around on vacation isn't your style, the Puamana grounds have all you need for a slow-paced, relaxing retreat. Spend the day lounging by the pool with a drink (no glass by the pool please), go for an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, or enjoy a stroll through the complex's vibrant tropical flower garden. Whether you're staying in or going out, there's something for everyone here!

For those looking to get around the island, drive time to the East Side (where the airport is) is about 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes.

Great stay. Received emails from host, had no issues. Only minor problem is the towel rack in one bathroom was poorly installed and I had to fix it while I was there and it fell off. Easy fix as they had a flathead screwdriver on-site. I appreciated the host not sending too many emails/texts and only what I needed.

Beautiful, clean and secure location

Had a blast. Kuaui has so much to offer for activities. Condo was amazing. Everything worked and clean as well. Spent our mornings swimming in queens bath. 5 minutes away

Overall great layout, had everything and then some for a week… could use more forks, there were only a half dozen or so, all the wall bottles in the bathrooms were empty. Home was great! However getting there was not, there was a very long skinny uphill pathway from parking, just gravel and dirt, they were replacing the sidewalks. A heads up from the management would have been appreciated, we had large roller bags that were useless because no concrete! Had to make many trips back and forth carrying in dirt. I hope for future renters they have this fixed. Just would have appreciated communication with this

Property needs work, great location

Beautiful gardens and amazing location. The unit itself needs work. We arrived to a leaking sink in the kitchen, walls crumbling in several places, kitchen cabinet handles missing or falling off on about half the doors, particle board furniture in master bedroom being eaten away by tiny ants. Management was very responsive and had a general willingness to fix issues, but some of their answers were inaccurate (like telling me to look for things in a cabinet that doesn’t exist or not saying where exactly to find the crib even though I inquired ahead of time - had to make do without one for two days until someone could come and find it (or bring it in, not sure it was even there if a desperate mom couldn’t find it!)). There was also no dust pan for several days despite my multiple requests, which led to a maggots infestation and eventually to swarms of flies. All this made the stay rather stressful. The AC was nice to have, and the bathrooms were very clean and in good order, thank goodness.

Great Stay Overall

This was our second time renting a VRBO in Kauai and we enjoyed our stay at Pumana. The only hiccups we had were a miscommunication about parking and there were a bit more little ants than we expected. We made an effort to keep the kitchen countera clean, but there were little ants regardless. To be expected in a tropic climate, especially with the louver windows. The living room A/C and fans worked great. I can't speak for the master bedroom as we stayed in the green room, but the A/C in the smaller bedroom had a hard time keeping up despite it being a smaller room. Enjoyed using the washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen (could use more food storage containers and baggies/foil/plastic wrap), and the beach and snorkel supplies. We also were bummed that there was no jacuzzi at Pumana, but definitely not a deal breaker for the price and experience. Got to experience lots of wildlife outside our door including chickens, Kane frogs, gecko/lizards, and cats. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful cozy property with comfy beds

Loved the cozy beds, a/c, and laundry in unit. North shore is beautiful. Wish it wasn’t such a drive back into town on the east and south shores, but no matter what you’re still only 1.5 hours or less from almost everything on the island. We had a wonderful week in Kauai.

So homey and comfortable

Our family had a great stay here. There were four parking spots for building 25 residents, and you can park for free in one of those four designated spots. We really appreciated the thoughtful, homey touches like the stacks of Kauai guidebooks, decorative pieces, tea bags, coffee, and all the cooking essentials in the kitchen, and large drying rack in the back for our towels and swimsuits. It was extremely clean and roomy. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Wi-fi worked well for us. It was very convenient to have the washer and dryer in the unit. I contacted the owner ahead of time and was informed they don’t provide laundry detergent; however, previous guests may leave some behind which is the case for us. They only provide starter shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms, so if you are staying longer than a couple of days, you should consider bringing your own or plan to buy some locally. We also took full advantage of the lanai closet stuffed to the brim with snorkels, fins, three beach chairs, a beach umbrella, water shoes, coolers, and pool noodles. The only downside was that there weren’t a lot of restaurant options nearby that were open when we needed to get dinner between 5-7pm. The Foodland in the Princeville Shopping Center right by the entrance to Princeville was nice, but we had better luck driving further west to the cute tourist town of Hanalei to kayak and paddle-board on the Hanalei River, which ended up being one of our favorite activities in Kauai. Anini Beach near the rental was very peaceful and would be a great place to bring a packed lunch. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here.

Nice Condo for Families

Nice well stocked condo that was perfect for my family of three. Located close to a market and within walking distance to Wyllie's Beach. Beds were comfortable and there were coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear to use which was great. Small gripe is that back main bedroom got hot in the afternoon and was tough to cool down by bedtime even with ac unit. It wasn't that big a deal and all in all we had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Beautiful vacation

Condo was so clean and very nicely decorated Good location. A mistake I read when I booked I thought it said sleeps 6 and it only sleeps 4. My 27 yr old grandson had to sleep on the couch. No worries he was fine. The pool was closed for maintenance and the beach is not accessible. But as for the condo and host they were beyond wonderful. Games to play lots of beach gear very fun place to stay. Jana has thought of everything a family would like to do just relaxing the day away. Thank you so much for opening your home to us it made a life long impression and great memories. MAHALO JEAN M

Beautiful Location

Great deal for your money on the North Shore. Well maintained and fully stocked (snorkels, fins, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, coolers, beach bags - everything!). It felt like home.
