There is no heat available from May to October, only AC so it was freezing. They only have a 2 pipe system so this is a known issue for hot or cold air. Extra blankets were brought up. I may have booked elsewhere if known there was no heat. To be told this upon checking in is very poor. The fridge was off in the room and we only had access to 10 channels on the TV. We were told this happens sometimes. Alerted manager to issues and he apologized and said parking charge will be credited.

Our room was spacious, clean and modernized amidst some beautiful old-school features. I loved the attention to detail in the decor and artwork too. Overall a great place to stay, definitely would come back!

Trapped by lack of housekeeping

Our stay was excellent, except for the fact that someone threw up right outside our room. We called the front desk to have it cleaned up, but after an hour no one had showed up. I had to literally jump over it to leave my room around midnight to speak to thr front desk myself. There was no sense of urgency and I was told “they’d keep an eye on it”… it was eventually cleaned up at 830am the following morning.

We hated it!

The lobby area and front stairway were the only attractions of the hotel. After hearing the air conditioning system was TO OPEN THE WINDOW!, we realized now that we should have exited then! The elevator was very rickety and we were happy we made it to our floor. Our room was absolutely tiny...like shoebox tiny! I confused the bathroom door with the room door bcs they were so close together! We hated it!! There was not a shred of luxury or comfort in our $450+ room!! The hotel was extremely understaffed. We actually felt sympathy for the lone representative at the front desk. Room service was unavailable, spa was closed, and we started questioned how capable the hotel would be to provide CLEAN linens and bath items! We will never recommend this hotel!!
