It is a unique hotel in its location competing with the big giants of the hotel industry. The locals love this place (at least the few I talked to) and want it to remain. I like the location, as it was close to the State Capitol, the downtown, and some other tourist sites. The female receiptionists were nice and helpful; however, one male receptionist (beige with tattoos all over his body) was very disrespectful. Why? Because the cleaner refused to come and clean my room and he was dismissive about my complaint. The hotel mgt should screen their public-facing staff (receptionist and cleaners) more carefully

Room had cracks that outside air was coming in from. Heater blew lukewarm. Between the outside cold temperature air coming in the room from the cracks by the window, and heater not blowing hot air; the room remained cold. Toliet area was extremely small, no room to change. Seperate sink area with no door, and no privavy door to change without being seen by others in the room. Only one working elevator for 16 floors. Older property with much needed repairs.

Very very worn establishment. Walls are torn and wallpaper is coming off. Couldn’t open the bathroom door because the door hit the toilet. Front desk persons were in their phones and rude. Only positive was location.

The staff in this property were incredibly helpful and personable. They went above and beyond to make sure every guest was taken care of. The building itself however is in desperate need of renovations. The elevators were constantly going out, the doors to the rooms were worn and did not close properly, and everything was outdated and worn in the rooms and the hallways.

The hotel appears run down at best. The hallway carpets are dirty with visible trash along the baseboard. The room next to me I guess sprang a leak, so maintenance was fixing it until about 9:30 pm and noisy as well as turned the water off so I couldn't flush the toilet. The breakfast next morning was sub par - the yogurt packets were warm and the other offering was pre-packaged nutrigrain bars. The coffee ran out halfway through breakfast and was not refilled. I will not stay there again.

Staff at the desk were friendly on check-in. Only 2 elevators and 1 was not working, though, we had no trouble. Breakfast was packaged food and more like a grab & go-type of meal with limited choices. room was comfortable, though, the bathroom was small, so that it was tight after opening the door and then using the toilet. Very unusual compared to other places I have stayed.

Good service, please repair some of the rooms.

The first room we got smelled awful and the carpets were wet. They quickly swapped my wife and I to another room but that first room must have been like that for while to smell that bad. The people at the front desk were kind and helpful but Holliday Inn shouldn’t have rooms in such poor condition.
