It wasvery close to the clinic so could wlk to appointments, lots of patients stay here so wonder how many handicapped rooms there are. Bathroom and tub/shower very small in our unit, would never work for someone who had difficulty with bathing or using toilet.

makes a confusing Mayo Clinic a little easier

Close to Mayo Clinic and connected via Subway (underground walkway). Mayo is a confusing mess to navigate. I asked the front desk person if I would be better off walking down the street or using the subway to my clinic appointment. She suggested the subway. Mayo Clinic not so clear in maps and signage I walked 5 blocks inside and outside then learned my appointment desk was nearly directly across the street. Close to parking garages and some good restaurants and bar near hotel. I was mostly pleased with my stay there.

Literally just a few feet away from two large Mayo builfdings (downtown campus).. My room was huge with a microwave and small refrigerator. Bath area is small and the shower toilet may be a problem for a handicapped person. Even though the outside temp was low (less than 10 F)with a strong wind, the room was overheated .The thermostat setting was 68 but still hot air was blowing out overheating the room. I finally put the system into air conditioning mode, which surprisingly worked (usually A/C does not work below a certain temperature) and the room cooled down. I kept the system in A/C mode all night. The staff at the lobby are friendly and helpful, but seemed stressed. Parking is underneath, and the ramp is really narrow Be prepared to back up if car is approaching from the other direction. If you park there, you do have in and out privileges; however, if you leave and there are no spots available, you will have to go elsewhere and pay at both places. All in all I would rate this property very high and would defiinitely stay here again if I needed another visit at Mayo. .

Loved we did not have to leave the property and go out side! So close to all the Mayo building we needed! Great food and service at the bar and restaurant attached! Have booked another stay as we need to return to the Mayo Clinic to get a test that was rebooked!
