Vene- ja kajakkivuokraus on oikealla kadulla. Dollar General, Waves Market ja Deli ovat hienoja paikkoja päivittäistavaroiden noutamiseen. He tekevät myös hienoja aamiaisen ja lounaan voileipiä!

TARKASTUSMENETTELYT

1. Palauta rantatuolit ja surffilaudat varastoon.

2. Poista kaikki roskat talosta.

3. Pese astiat astianpesukoneessa ja vaihda sopivaan paikkaan.

4. Sulje ja lukitse kaikki ikkunat ja ovet

5. Poista kaikki henkilökohtaiset tavarat (mukaan lukien ruoka)

6. Sammuta kaikki valot, kattotuulettimet, ilmastointilaitteet, uuni, astianpesukone kahvinkeitin jne.

Tässä talossa on SlingTV, jolla on noin 100 suoraa kanavaa ja tarvittaessa sisältöä.

Tärkeää tietoa talosta:

1. Jääkaappien jäähtyminen voi kestää jopa 24 tuntia puhdistuksen jälkeen. ÄLÄ säädä lämpötilaa.
2. Ilman lämpötilan termostaatit eivät saa olla alhaisemmalla kuin 72 astetta, muuten yksikkö voi jäätyä
3. Pidä ikkunat ja ovet kiinni, jos ilmastointilaite on kytketty päälle
4. Grillaaminen ei ole sallittua kodin kansilla DARE-maakunnan palolakien vuoksi

TRASH-POISTOTIEDOT:
Roskakorit ovat tiistaina ja perjantaisin. Kaikkien roskien on oltava mustissa roskakorissa. Roskakori on todella hyvin aikaisin aamulla, joten ota se pois iltana ja laita roskakori ajotieltä.

INTERNETIN VIANETSINTÄ:

The place was in a great location. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. The upstairs shower leaked to the master bedroom below. We messaged the owner, he sent the property manager and plumber over and we just stopped using the upstairs bathroom. When we were leaving we noticed that the kitchen sink was leaking below. Other than this the place was good but don't expect anything extravagant except the stereo which was awesome! We did have a great vacation!

Great house

Loved the house. Pool was great. Beds where very nice to sleep in. Only downside was a little far from things. Grocery store is about 20 mins south to the food loin. Would stay again.

Quiet piece of heaven!

Just what we needed! Centrally located between Avon/Hatteras and Nags Head. Easy access to the beach. The beach was clean and quiet. House had the basic amenities needed. They are in the process of updating and the owner was open with upgrades and work being done. It was dog friendly and we appreciated the fenced in yard! Looking forward to next year!

The location/access to the beach and pool were wonderful. The home, however, was mold-ridden, musty, and in poor repair. We learned from a maintenance worker that the upstairs tub had been flooded by previous tenants and ran through to the downstairs bathroom and bedroom. I reached out to the property owner to see if an air purifier could be provided and got no response. The advertised beach chairs and wagon were rusty, broken and not usable. The area around the pool was littered with weeds and old cigarette butts. The experience was overall very disappointing and will not return to this property due to the mold problem and lack of upkeep to the home and property. Salvo, the beach and locals are delightful and will definitely go back for vacation!

Best House Yet

The house is perfectly situated and sized for us, a family of five, with a private pool and direct access to the beach. The interior is nothing fancy but clean and functional - actually nicer than what we saw in the pictures provided. It's clear that the owners are invested in keeping the house updated and were responsive to questions we had during hour trip. Overall, it was an excellent house to spend the week. We plan on going back.

Spring break week at the beach

Our family of 4 (+1 dog) spent a nice relaxing week at the house. It has everything you need, particularly in the kitchen which even had an air fryer. The pool was nice, a little cool in April, but great to have it right next to the house. The beach is a short walk through the dunes and can't be seen from the house, but the ocean can be seen from the rooftop deck. There were extra sand toys, beach chairs and a wagon under house. Check in was super easy with the door key pad and a clear and informative email from the owner. Otherwise, it was clean and functional like you'd expect and we didn't have any issues while we were there. Thanks again for a great week!

Nice location

The location was nice. The layout of the house was good. The house was too short to see the ocean, so that was disappointing. The dangerous ladder stairs to the roof were impractical. The house was not very clean. The living room furniture was stained. The master bedroom had moldy water stained walls and was in the worst shape. Outside lighting was too little and not all of them were in working order.

Great stay and location

We stayed for a week mid-May, family of 5. Property was as described and pictured. Classic beach/lake house vibe. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. New towels. Great pool with plenty of loungers. There is a very short walk over thru the dunes to the beach, right behind the house, the beach is very quiet and clean, lots of wildlife, crabs, birds....We visited some other beaches further north and this one was much cleaner and much less crowded. Maybe one group of people every 300-400 yards, so much space. This is right before the official season begins, would guess the neighborhood was maybe half occupied There were a couple of broken chairs on the rooftop, we laid down a blanket on the rooftop as we didn't feel comfortable moving the furniture to the top deck. Loved watching the sunrise and stargazing from the top deck and afternoons spent in the shade of the house in the pool. Bedding needs updating and dishes needed cleaned off before use, maybe first stay of the season. We thought it was a great location for visiting the Outer Banks and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would stay again. Thank you!

New to OBX

New mattresses were much appreciated. Property owner is making many efforts to improve this property. If you’re not familiar with the dune situation in OBX be prepared for crossing to be a challenge, not a reflection of the property owner just something I wasn’t quite ready for. Currently there wasn’t a good seating choice for older guests that need to put their feet up, again not a reflection on the owner just something I should have realized when booking, hopefully new living room furniture will be in the future. *house was no longer brown, but rather a beautifully updated turquoise!

Great family and pet friendly beachfront rental!

We had a great experience renting this property for our family of 5 and the family dog. The week was sunny and warm, it was nice to have the air conditioning inside after a long day at the beach or pool. The pool was a huge hit, perfect size for the property and the fenced in yard was great to keep track of the dog. Some extra pool and beach toys under the house with a wagon came in handy as well. The house was well cleaned prior to our arrival and having the towels in plastic wrap gave us that extra clean comfort. All kitchen appliances we needed were there and plenty of options in the area to order from as well. Having the outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach was nice, and the 3 levels of deck were appreciated. We got some beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset from the top level, and seeing the boats on the water was also nice. The house will need continued TLC as it is showing age in some areas, but it has everything you need to have an amazing week in the Outer Banks! We would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area in the future!

Family Fun in Salvo

Overall our vacation was a 5, but this house is more like a 3. The property has great potential, but has not been maintained. The pool was fantastic, but was surrounded by weeds and included a pile of broken and rusted pool toys. The pool loungers(3) were all broken and unusable. It was nice to have direct access to the beach, a short walk over the dunes for a day in the sand. However, the fence door was not secure and with a dog and small child, this was a concern. The host was informed and was responsive, but the issue was not resolved. The house itself worked out great for our group with plenty of room to spread out inside and out. It could have been cleaner(walls and floors) and just needed more attention to details like clogged bathtubs and broken blinds. With a little effort, this property could easily be a 5.

Could be great!

Location was perfect! And we loved the pool tho it wasn't heated, but one warm day it was tolerable. While we were fans of the house, the furnishings seemed haphazard and convenient. The furniture doesn't fit the house and the linens were of poor quality(think cheap hotel). But we liked the layout and design of the house.and the decks! I wish there had been a table and more visit-friendly chair sets on the many decks. We were able to cook no problems. There was no extra anything tho, not paper towels or toilet paper or trash bags. The hand soaps were nearly empty and no dish liquid or powder/pods. Not even salt and pepper. Some kitchen towels would have been nice also. I sound as if i am complaining however i can honestly say we enjoyed our time here and would stay again. Just want the owners to know it could be even better! One last thing- when we arrived, we found and envelope asking for a gratuity from the cleaner. I leave a tip for outstanding service. This was not. There was trash behind the nightstand, which i left, and there are crumbs in the silverware holder. Just doing a few things could make this house into a more comfortable home.

Not a clean property

My husband, 3 month old and close family friends with kids ages 4, 6 & 10 stayed at the Family affair. We arrived at 3:45 and the cleaning company arrived at 4:00 & stayed a total of 25 minutes. She came in with a bottle of Clorox and a rag only. There is no way someone was able to clean a two story house up to covid protocol as stated or any cleaning protocol whatsoever. When we got in, the floors were filthy with dust and hair balls / crumbs all over the floor (we ended up vacuuming and just the living room carpet alone filled up half the vacuum), the kitchen table and counters had crumbs and smudges all over them, the bathroom mirrors were not cleaned, the back slide door was covered in handprints and dog drool, the coffee pot was not clean, the AC did not keep up (it got to 78 everyday before noon), the fans were completely coated with dust & the main living room fan did not work, the deck had rusted nails sticking up. After waking up the first morning, my 3 month old daughter had a swollen eye and green goo coated. We spent all day Monday at urgent care in Kill Devil Hills to find out she had conjunctivitis (bacterial infection) most likely from the dirty environment. Not to mention there looked to be black mold on the ceiling on the main floor bathroom. When I reached out to the owner, he told me the lady who came to clean when we arrived was only there to wipe down the door knobs and surfaces and that a cleaner came at noon. Overall, we took it upon ourselves to clean the property so we didn’t have to pack our belongings back up and have more people coming in and out of the property. I’ve never been to a rental so filthy. The location was nice but if you have small children or like a clean environment, this is not the property for you.

Absolutely loved our stay

We absolutely loved our stay in Salvo. This property was perfect for our family and we hope to visit again soon. The property owner is very friendly and responsive. My kids loved the lights in the pool and it was nice being able to relax in the living room and see the kids playing upstairs.

On the beach with a pool!

The house is located on the beach with a beautiful pool in Salvo, NC. The house is spacious with three bed rooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. It also has a washer and dryer which is perfect for a beach house. It also has a roof deck! The pictures are exactly what we saw when we arrived. We enjoyed our week in Salvo.

Much needed, wonderful stay

This was the perfect get away for my family. The house was very comfortable and this is probably the first vrbo I have rented that actually had decent TV service and reception (Thank you). The pool felt wonderful and clean and well kept. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. I enjoyed greatly being able to wake up and walk out through the dunes to watch the sunrise. In the same breath I was able to catch some amazing lightning from the storms which luckily rolled through in the evenings and overnight. There was great communication with the owners or rental management as they were truly wanting to make sure we had no issues with the house. I truly appreciate their concern on my behalf. The only thing I would suggest to future renters (no fault of the property/owners) grab your milk and eggs and other necessities before getting to the property. There is a run on those items with everyone else coming to their vacation rentals. The closest grocery is 20 min. South in Avon.
