House was dirty! Dirty sheets on two beds. Floors disgusting, white socks were brown within minutes, washer did not work, master bath sink clogged, sofa in living room broken in many places and uncomfortable, broken down swings out of order, cushions on outdoor furniture on top deck was disgusting, fire alarm out of order, cameras on porches facing living areas, hardly any dishes. Wayyyyy over priced. Very disappointing!

Girls trip

We loved the patios! Three good bedrooms One bedroom seemed like a kids room. Mattress was just fair. Overall fine just looking a bit tired. Needs different amenity repairs. Plenty of towels and beach towels. No blankets or throws for the patios. Good location very close to La Jolla

Not what we were expecting

The location of this property is really nice but the condition of the furnishings are not as pictured. Some of the deck furnishings were missing and the lights on the deck did not all work. The hot tub was also dirty upon arrival and the readout said to change the filter and that the chlorinator was empty. We notified the management of this and they said they would send someone out however the same readout of change filter and the chlorinator being empty had not changed. It did look cleaner, however we did not feel comfortable using it. The living room couch’s automatic recliner on one end did not work and one of the shower heads in the master bathroom did not work. The ironing board was in the garage and broken. Management did deliver another one the following day, however. We did enjoy the outdoor decks and fireplace. We loved San Diego and will be back, however we will not be staying at this property.

Beautiful home with wonderful outdoor seating area

The home is beautiful. The outdoor areas are all equipped with outdoor seating and relaxing areas. The house is well equipped with a few common spices, coffee accessories, plenty of toilet paper, toiletries, etc. its hardwood so I imagine the floors are hard to get totally cleaned but our feet were black in walking barefoot and I have a crawling baby so lots of cleaning up and changes to walk in slippers or sandals in the house to prevent yucky feet. Started off on a little bit of a rough start as I set up to have a pack n play provided by the rental company that wasn’t there- I had to call one of the emergency numbers and spoke w Jose but he couldn’t get me w pack n play until the next day. Thankfully I used the babyquip app for a stroller and was able to add a pack n play last minute and it delivered late that evening but at least my baby had a safe sleep space. Overall, it was well and we would return but would set up our own baby equipment outside of the rental company.

House with amazing outdoor space

6 adults and 2 children spent 5 nights in this amazing house during Xmas holiday. We prepared many meals in very spacious kitchen equipped with gourmet gas stove and large countertops. Adults spent hours in the main deck with fire pit overlooking panoramic view. Fireworks at Sea World every night was lovely. House was very clean and kitchen was adequately stocked with basic items although cleaning supplies were bare minimum and we had to purchase additional dishwasher detergent and paper towels. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner and TP were very low quality. Amazing deck and living area compensated for any small annoyances. We would stay here again.

Spectacular Views

The house is in an excellent location, with fantastic views, day or night. The kitchen contains many quality appliances, and a decent amount of cookware, bowls, plates, silverware, cups, mugs and glasses (only missing soup spoons and serving spoons). The hot tub was enjoyed by everyone. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The downside was the furnishings have been aging for some time. Some of the bedroom furnishings do not belong in a high end rental, and some should have been repaired or replaced. Particularly troublesome for my wife was the opening and closing of the curtains in the master bedroom. There are only curtains hung on poles. Because of their height it’s necessary to climb up and down on chairs to move the curtains. Finally, we had two significant problems that reflect on the management system. The day after we arrived we realized that the temperature in the house was not reflective of the thermostat setting. La Jolla Rentals got a maintenance worker to come that afternoon, and he determined that the thermostat had lost contact with the HVAC system. He fixed it. Secondly, on the next day, when setting the table for Thanksgiving, I realized that the dishwasher was not working properly, was giving error messages, and many of the dishes in the cupboards were not cleaned properly. I hand washed them all and, after Thanksgiving, informed the Rental agents. They volunteered to come out, but we felt we would rather they repaired the dishwasher after we left.

Stayed for a family wedding, 6 adults enjoyed the home. All enjoyed the multiple outdoor areas and views. Kitchen large and well equipped. All found the beds very comfortable.

Spacious and great views!

The home is definitely gorgeous and spacious. A few things to share that are worth mentioning: 1) There is only a TV in the living room and master bedroom. The other bedrooms do not have a TV which was difficult with three teenagers. 2) The master bathroom, has no latch on the bathroom door so we had to stick toilet paper in the door to get it to stay closed. 3) We had to request maintenance because the bathtub on the second floor was clogged. When we returned from the beach, the bathtub was no longer clogged, but they left the wad of hair sitting in the tub that they removed. 4) The porch off of the living room was beautiful, but over half of the lightbulbs were burnt out. *There was detail provided about noise after 9 PM on the website but once you’re in the moment, it is not fun to not be allowed outside at all after 9 PM….which was what we understood once on property* A few positives: 1) Watching the fireworks from the living room each night was great! 2) The beach chairs were helpful for hanging at the beach! 3) We loved the big dining table that everyone could sit together and eat! 4) The master bathroom has a bidet with a heated toilet seat and a massive shower with 2 shower heads! 5) Gorgeous views!

Fun November weekend.

This place was amazing and it looked even better than the picture. The house is huge and had everything we needed for a family stay. The neighbor next door worried us because she did come out the first night at 7pm and asked if we were going to be loud after we sang happy birthday to a family member outside but then she never bother us again. The property manager was very quick to respond when we ran out of propane for the fire pit or any questions we had about checking in. Overall the experience was great and if we go back we would love to book the mermaid house again!

Amazing views

Had some friends & business colleagues in for a conference. We opted for the house over the “host” hotel. It was perfect. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space. Keurig coffee maker! Fire pit was a great feature for morning coffee and after dinner conversation. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing getaway

This amazing home is exactly as it is described on VRBO. The eight of us had the best time in San Diego and really enjoyed hanging out on the deck and taking in the beautiful views. This property is in a perfect location and just minutes away from all that SD has to offer. Would definitely rent here again!

Great vacation

Super property with great views!

This property was amazing! The description of the property was completely accurate and went beyond our expectations! The house was very clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family of 5 adults. We spent most of the time on the deck visiting and enjoying the views, although there was plenty to do in the area! We would definitely stay here again.

House great, location great, facility and amenities so so, terrible neighbor

Complex and amenities, location was great. Except, 1) cannot change lock code. Feels insecure. 2) cannot use garage. Took a few tricks to change a Suburban direction at upper area. 3) terrible terrible neighbor. Facing the house on he left side neighbor was constantly harassing us while we were having bbq around 9:00 and Frequently staring at us on our arrival and departures every time, complaining and sometimes filming us with a smartphone for some kind of evidence we have no idea she is going to use it for. We were this close to call on the cops cause they were so creepy. We loved the house, but will never ever stay at the mermaid one, since we didn’t feel relaxing at all times. 4)no curtains on the master bedrooms also is a down
