This hotel was perfect. Beautiful, clean, stylish, very helpful staff. Was sad that I was only here for one night. I loved this hotel. So classic feeling and beautiful and in such a good area. Will definitely come again.

Beautiful 1914-constructed property, complete with external fire escape. Lovely period features. Immaculately maintained. Family-owned. Thoughtful small features, like a bath duck, large walk-in closet (Room 1105), iron, ironing board, fridge. Free tea, coffee and cookies in the foyer. Lovely non-franchise feel with great personality. Right on Union Square with cable tram running past front door. 10-min walk to Moscone conference centre. 5min walk to BART and MUNI transport.
