Modernized rooms, very clean and quiet. Although smaller than typical hotel room, the design is clever and maximizes use of square footage! Basic amenities are included in room. I would add two things in the room: another wastebasket in the main room (there’s only one .. in the bathroom) and mini fridge under the table. Lastly, although it advertises parking available, it’s either a public lot five blocks away or valet parking ($52 per night). There isn’t a place for you to pull up to the hotel front and unload luggage .. I almost got a ticket, cuz it’s the green bike lane. And if you choose valet, it may take 15-20 minutes for valet to arrive. Option is street parking nearby for valet to pick up car later. Perhaps calling ahead to coordinate parking?

The hotel was clean and provided drinks and complementary breakfast. It was a good price but keep in mind that it borders an area with a large homeless population. The bathrooms in the rooms provide no privacy and the walls are paper thin. The bed was comfortable though.

Everything was great. Its pretty clean hotel with good sercice, however, the area is not so great. Eventhough its in the heart of DT - there are way too may homeless people aroujd the hotel... its kinda scary... it personally didnt feel safe to wake around there... UBER ONLY

Hotel was perfectly fine for the price. Room very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. Parking is the issue. Van Ness Garage was perfectly fine and one block from the hotel, however, on my 2nd night, I got back late (11:15) from an event which was 30 minutes outside of SF, and the garage gate for access was closed. There is literally nowhere else to park within 3 blocks that felt safe to walk back to the hotel at this time of night with all the people on the streets in this district. No key card access to the main entrance at night - anyone can just walk in - although staff was always at the desk. They should add this feature for entrance to the hotel after hours. I decided to check out and drive home (1.5 hours) instead of parking too far from the hotel and walking back at this time of night.

Terrible in San Francisco

Where do I start with this awful hotel? When I arrived, instead of being at the desk, the attendant was sitting down chatting. The elevator was malfunctioning. The WiFi was awful and frequently stopped working. My television didn’t work. Furniture was peeling and shabby. There is mold in the bathroom. They never cleaned my room during my 3 night stay and didn’t explain why. At one point the very rude front desk guy came around saying he was “checking the locks” and was unable to give me a good explanation as to the issue, which made me feel very unsafe. The breakfast is just donuts and small yogurts. There is oatmeal but no way to make it. They don’t restock the coffee in the room, obviously, as they don’t clean! In addition to all this, you get to hear the loud cars and screaming on the street because the walls and windows are thin.

When I checked in, the front staff gave me a key that was another room. When I returned to the front desk and said someone already in the room. The toilet handle doesn’t work. Narrows aisles in the building.

Do not recommend this spot. If you’re a college student on a budget - go for it. The first room I was assigned smelled awful, but the worst part was the shower was clogged and did not drain. I had to move to a new room. 2nd floor, facing the street. Homeless everywhere - no up front parking. They offer valet, but that was a sh*t show. On the plus side the valet parks your car in a garage safe from harm. On the downside, they don’t open till 8am - and I’m trying to drive 8 hours back home and leave at 6am. So I had to walk to the garage to pick up my car. 3/4 of a mile away, and was not offered some type of refund. During the night hours all I could hear was loud moving vehicles, noises scrapping the ground, gun shots, and sirens.

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences. First off the valet is an alley on the side of the building that you park in and they go and park your car elsewhere which takes 45 minutes to get when you want to leave. The rooms are the size of a queen bed and the bathroom is even worse. The rooms are all crammed together ok every floor with thin walls so you can hear everything. Upon checking in, I had to call the front desk 22 times before they answered. On top of all that, the area around is far from safe. Definitely will not be returning.

Clean, stylish, comfortable room. Not spacious, but adequate. Bathroom was nice. "Continental" breakfast was just donuts, coffee and yogurt. I didn't see a "business center". Good central location. Good value, satisfying nights' sleep.
