There were zero VIP options given, wine, upgrade etc. The staff member who checked us in seemed a bit out of sorts. That said the hotel is excellent in decor, location and walkability. Great breakfast nearby at Pinecrest Diner. PLS downstairs had great drinks and happy hour specials.

Clean, safe hotel close to transport. Game area had potential but the equipment was broken or almost. Comfy bed, well air conditioned, We did get a bottle of wine - was this the VIP offer? No upgrade offered.

Convenient location! The free (watered down) coffee was nice and the hotel itself was funky. PLS on Post was the best part by far. If you skip housekeeping you get a 10$ voucher which we used every day. Amazing food and service. Hotel overall was just ok, we would likely stay somewhere else next time

The building is older and the rooms are very small, but clean. However, it was conveniently located by Union Square and the game room downstairs was a plus. Parking was expensive, but that's to expect, I guess, for a hotel downtown.

Really good hotel and helpful, friendly staff.. the tenderloin area might seem a bit sketchy. It did not bother ppl but I can see how it might have made some ppl were wary in previous reviews.. I have to give a special mention to Johnny who was on the front desk when I arrived. I had rubbish time getting there... delayed flights, etc and so did not arrive at the hotel until sometime after midnight 6, hours later than intended. Dude, was excellent and super helpful. Answering all my questions and putting up with me when he was probably just looking forward to nice, quiet night on the front desk! He even sorted me out with a different room for the following day when I asked for one with a bathtub! (Its a british thing!)

Good stay for a week

The room was tired and small. Pull out couch mattress was very tired and my son could feel every spring in the mattress Area in downtown SF was run down and boarded up with not great choices for food. But it was convenient for cable cars , union square, oracle park etx.
