Everything about Avila Village Inn was excellent. We have done overnight stays at many hotels up and down the coast and this stay was by far our favorite. We were in the new wing and everything was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. This is likely to become the place we always stay at during our regular travels from Southern to Northern CA.

The hotel was beautiful but the room I was given had a very dangerous jetted tub shower combo. It required you to climb over a 3 ft high an 1 foot wide tile side to get into the ton just to shower. They left the metal rail that held the former glass door which meant that you had to risk impaling yourself as you climbed into and out. An accident waiting to happen!

The decor and finish work throughout is very nice. The staff is helpful and nice. The proximity to the Bob Jones trail is great. We enjoyed delicious, hot coffee from the lobby every morning.

The room was clean, felt cozy and not like your regular hotel room. It usually takes us a couple hours to settle in but we felt comfortable and at home immediately. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Parking is easy and onsite. Location is great, Avila Beach is a few minutes away and downtown SLO is also a few minutes away. I am definitely going to return and recommend for a nice and relaxing weekend getaway. The shower and tub are all connected so it is challenging getting in if you're shorter or have physical challenges with your legs.

Rooms were clean, staff is excellent. Not our first time here. We stay here often and love it. It’s quiet and clean. It has a walking path that leads to Avila Beach one way or Sycamore Springs the other way. Which is a cool quiet place to have a snack or a refreshment. On the premises it has free coffee and tea all day and night. There’s also a little market that has food. I recommend this place

Fireplace in the lobby AND our room was cozy! Free bike rides for 2 hours, its a 10 minute ride to Avila beach. Enjoyable stay and we will return again.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and really love it. It's a gem with a nice walking trail behind the hotel that takes you to the beach. There is a cute little wine/beer garden on the trail in the opposite direction of the beach which is a delight. You can rent bikes and there is an also a deli/market that has all the essentials.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable!

Wonderful hotel in a great, private, quiet location. This hotel sits right on the Bob Jones trail, and is a wonderful location for biking, walking, golfing, and enjoying Avila Beach. There is a market and excellent deli just a four minute walk away. The golf course is a 20 minute walk away, and has a delicious breakfast with a view of the ocean. The hotel was very clean and the room layout is AMAZING. Bathroom is tucked around the corner and out of the way of the sleeping area. Lovely gas fireplace in the room was such a cozy touch. The two ladies working the front desk were both kind, patient, and helpful. This hotel is in a great central location to explore Avila. Parking was easy and never too crowded even though we stayed on a Friday night. We were able to borrow two bikes from the hotel for a free two hour block. We enjoyed an easy 3 mile ride on a flat, paved, often shady, well maintained trail, to the beach and back. We cant wait to stay again!
