Hotel is very quiet. Great access to the Bob jones trail which leads to The Secret Garden and Sycamore Springs and also the town of Avila Beach. Easy parking and the staff is friendly and superb.

The Avila Village Inn is a little haven in the woods. It is off from the main thoroughfare of both Pismo Beach and Avila Beach to allow for the tranquility one can desire yet close enough to enjoy wonderful dining and entertainment. The bikes available to rent was a wonderful amenity as it is a nice ride into Avila Beach. The Bob Jones trail which runs behind the Inn is wonderful to walk or ride bike. It doesn’t matter which direction you go and there is wildlife, dining, entertainment and mineral spas. When we checked in we were greeted by, Jess, who was so helpful in recommending various things to do and eat. We took her suggestions and loved each one. She was so kind and helpful.

I was quite disappointed. Avila Village Inn is a great idea, but it’s quite worn out. The bedside lamps have dinged the plaster on the walls. The furniture is heavily worn. The fireplace in our room, a big selling point for a romantic get away, didn’t work. The in-room refrigerator was over heating and wouldn’t cool. The bathroom tile needs regrouting. The mattress was not ideal. Some of the staff were lovely, but others didn’t make eye contact and no welcoming conversation. The Inn is beautiful. Quiet. Easy parking. Located on the route to many wonderful Central Coast locations. Basically, the Inn is a great idea in desperate need of a refresh.
