Couple Getaway

It was a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable and it was right across from the beach. There's no breakfast offered at the hotel, but there's place that offers breakfast and coffee nearby. The only problem was housekeeping didn't do a great job with a couple of small things. Overall it was a nice stay.

No Glam Just Comfort

My husband and always stay at Pelican. Love the convenience of the hotel and the sunsets are amazing. We try and book the patio rooms for a better view. Worth the extra money. However, the rooms are just OK. No frills. The beds and pillows are extra comfy. Rooms seem outdated and the bathrooms never seem to be cleaned enough! The front desk, Carmen, is always extra helpful and a sweetheart too.

Good Stay

We always have an enjoyable time at pelican Inn. They are always friendly and will help you with whatever you need help with. Clean. The only thing is they do not have a breakfast anymore. I think that is a big drawback. Also, they could hang rods next to the sink for hand towels to be placed instead of having to place them on the countertop.

Relax on the coast!

Always good to go back to Pelican Cove on beautiful Moonstone Beach. The room was great and can't beat the view!!!!! Service was excellent and we enjoyed the relaxation.

I stayed in a no-view room, which is fine for me. I like this location nice because of its convenient access to Moonstone Beach, Cambria and Heart Castle. Easy parking. Clean rooms, reliable Wi-Fi, and a Fireplace for heat, A coffee maker, mini refrigerator and microwave are super convenient when you pack food for a road trip. Staff were helpful and nice. I’m sure I’ll stay here again.

This property far exceeded our expectations. We had a room with a full view of the ocean, which was directly across the street. Just gorgeous. The room itself was a very good size and had a working fireplace, which was really nice to have during the cooler month of January. There was an additional portable heater (stored in the closet) which was also nice to have when we say in front of the open window to hear the waves while watching sunset/sunrise. The staff was fantastic! From the moment I was greeted in the lobby during check-in (by an amazingly kind, helpful, and very personable woman) I knew it was going to be a favorite memory. Every interaction with other staff members was positive; everyone was so kind. We will definitely be returning.

The property was experiencing a new roof on one of the properties which affected our stay. The workers (no shade on them) started at 7ish. Then there was a power outage in Cambria. We went to the lobby hoping to buy wine to brighten the night only to find out that the bottles were $50. Management should have discounted these for the inconvenience and to keep the mood light.

Overall this is a great property simply based on its location. The ocean spray has taken its toll on the sliding door, which had rusted, the lock had long since died & as a result was difficult to open/close. Replacing the sliding door with a marine grade door would be a good plan, so that you don’t have to spend so much time servicing them when they rust - and so your customers can open them. It was only a one night stay for $300, so it was frustrating to receive a constant stream of hourly notifications starting at 6am in the morning, via e-mail & text asking me if I’m ready to leave… Aside from this, the staff were helpful & friendly and the room was nice, though slightly older.

Loud. Nice spot. But just too loud.

So. Loud. You can hear everything happening in every room if you’re in the bottom rooms. Not to mention every single morning for 3 days they woke us up with the work/repairs happening on the property - even Sunday. The staff was very nice and tried to help but the building is just not set up if you’re looking for somewhere quiet.
