Filthy floors

I don’t believe the room has ever been mopped. The floors turned our feet and socks black. I took two wash rags and got them wet and cleans the bathroom floor myself and when I took them to show the staff the only thing they said was we don’t appreciate guests ruining our towel. I included a picture of the wash rags used to clean the bathroom floor

Great Hotel/Childish Check In

The location is Wonderful. But the person working the front desk has an "Attitude Problem." He chooses to Argue With & Challenge guests about Non-Important things. A year ago he was Confrontational with me about my key not working properly. This time he was Confrontational because I rang the doorbell before entering the waiting area because I did not see him. I had to calm him down with my Words which made me feel like I was "Baby-sitting." This guy Really Needs to Learn to Treat Guests Better. Currently he is "Very Unprofessional."

Stayed for a night before visiting Hearst Castle the next day. The location was perfect. Right on the coast five minute drive to the castle. Affordable room rate. It is a motel nothing fancy, but appears to have been updated and was relatively clean. Not a fan of hard floors, and the bed frames were cheap light metal that easily slid on the floor. Our room was right next to the stairs, it was very loud like someone bowling on plywood over our head. If we had intended to stay longer than a day the noise would have been a problem. But it served its purpose, close to our destination. Affordable stay on an amazing part of the California coast.
