Pros: staff and facilities, including bed were excellent. Agree with other reviewers regarding the shower/water situation; other than that rooms are small though neat and clean. Cons: Room next to us had a dog that was barking at night for over an hour; finally complained to the front desk and it got taken care of. Staff was very responsive in helping to take care of it, which was a plus. We have stayed at other pet friendly hotels and this had not been an issue. Just warning if one is sensitive to noise, you may want to bring good ear plugs.

Great location. Showers were awful. Small, and flat to room , so water everywhere and we had to use our towels to keep from slipping. Soaking wet room. Also, be warned, if you do not specifically ask for your room to be cleaned, they will not clean it. We found out after 4 pm. Asked cleaning staff if they planned to clean our room, they seemed to understand. Asked front desk and the gal seemed a bit put out and stated we are to ask for the room to be cleaned. We did get our towels picked up that day and new towels and I asked the cleaning woman to empty our full trash baskets. Our beds a mess, which is disappointing as the cost of the trip, but overall, the area made up for it. Will not be staying there again.

I actually really liked the small rooms. They had a certain charm — cozy, unpretentious, almost endearing in their simplicity. That said, I do wish they were better soundproofed. You’ll hear everything that goes on in the hallway, and I mean everything. The sweet, tender moments between families. The hushed giggles of lovers sharing a private joke. The guttural symphony of someone purging their late-night choices into a wastebasket. It’s all part of the ambiance, I suppose — an unexpectedly intimate glimpse into the lives of strangers. If you're a light sleeper or value privacy, pack earplugs. But if you don't mind a little audio theatre with your stay, there's something oddly human about it.

Great property, would definitely stay again on a short trip. Rooms are on the smaller side, but it’s a small boutique hotel the staff and the lobby make up for the size of the room.

This property appears newly renovated, and has a European flair. It is very small, and the rooms are small too, but well put together, and maximizes space. You are centrally located to everything, and two blocks from Stearns Wharf/beach

Exceptional staff! Friendly and helpful! Loved all of then! Free use of bikes. That was nice. Convenient location to many things. Coffee, shops, restaurants, shopping beach. They pump in some type of scent and it’s really bad for you and it does not smell good. Very off putting. The hallways echo wasn’t that quiet. My room was dark some of the rooms have a door that goes out on a little porch, but mine didn’t. I asked to switch, but it didn’t happen.

Great location! Right in the heart of the funk zone I will say some things: - I read plenty of reviews about the rooms being small. I thought people were probably exaggerating. I am here to confirm the rooms are indeed super small. I was only there 2 nights and with just one other person so it was manageable. - The shower is messy. The way it’s set up, it’s quite impossible to not make a mess. I honestly don’t know who designed it and thought it was a great idea. It was also super tight. I dreaded having to shower during my stay. - Bed was comfy, no complaints there. - We parked in the neighborhood to avoid valet parking fee, but valet parking seemed to be limited. I want to say I would come back, but I’m not sure. The location is great and it was the most affordable option that didn’t look as bad in the area. However, the shower was a huge turn off.
