Visiting the voco in March is a costly endeavor, being its most costly time of year due to the season of northern visitors. I paid $480 per night for a room. The guest room was on the first floor and was pleasant enough at first glance. The room was accessed down a side hallway which required you to enter it walking through the restaurant filled with diners every time you wanted to go to your room. Once in the room, the flooring outside the bathroom was starting to buckle due to water intrusion in the past and the bathroom room would lock from the outside quite easily due to the lock turning. We had the bathroom lock from the outside on us.
But I think that the most glaring issue was that our room looked out directly to the parking lot and was directly next to the "smoking" area. This was a non-smoking room with an air conditioning unit in each room that pulled air from the exterior. I noticed early on our first night that I smelled smoke from somewhere but didn't realize it until the next morning when I awoke, opened the curtains to the room and saw the smoking area signage and ashtrays not 8 feet from my window / Air conditioning unit.
And lastly the rooms were not sound protected, we could clearly hear conversations taking place in the hall and in rooms adjacent to us.
All of these combined to make a sub-par experience for a cost that was extremely high such a stay.
