Nice but not for the price

Beautiful resort...however not as kid friendly as I would have liked. No jumping in pools, etc. The beds looked plush but hurt my back, and a larger refrigerator in the room would have been helpful. The beach access was wonderful. Nice resort, but a condo would have been better suited for my needs.

The view from our room was great with a partial ocean view. The bed was very comfortable too. Staff was friendly. Having the restaurant downstairs was convenient and the beach was just steps from the resort. However, the resort had some sort of construction going on. So when we wanted to come back to the room to take a break, it was loud. We asked for fresh towels around 8am and ended up waiting until cleaning service showed up at 4pm. Just little things, but kind of annoying for the price we paid.

We liked the lively atmosphere, and they have nicely updated the rooms from when it used to be the Pearl. The bars and restaurants on property were convenient and about average. We liked the convenience of towels next to the pool area. One suggestion though…They really need to install dehumidifiers in their rooms! My hair wouldn’t dry naturally and all the wet towels and bathing suits never dried. The bed felt damp. They make you sign an agreement to keep the temperatures in a certain range so I wasn’t able to sufficiently heat or cool the room to combat the humidity. Overall though I’d stay again. Next time I’m going to purchase and bring a dehumidifier with me.

I would have given this resort a 5 star rating if it weren’t for check in. I think they were short staffed and although check in is at 4 pm, we didn’t get to check in until 5 pm. This might not be a problem for most travelers but I was traveling with my 5 month old and 23 month old babies. I was counting on the 4 pm check in for feeding, nap and diaper schedules. They eventually got us into a room (nicer than the one we booked no extra charge) but the hour it took them to figure it out led to a full blown melt down in the lobby with both babies screaming in distress and it took a considerable amount of time to calm them. Not a great way to start the vacation but the rest of the stay was wonderful and most of the staff was helpful and friendly. Food at the landshark restaurant was great and the food and drinks were reasonably priced. The room and the facilities were clean and well maintained other than the bathroom which had a sewer gas smell. The bed was a bit firm and squeaked a bit. The free WiFi worked well. Parking was included with our stay. We didn’t leave the resort during our stay so I’m not sure what transportation options were available.

The room was very damp, could Not turn a/c off because of humidity, my wife was freezing in the room. Temperature had to stay between 65-72 always in the room. There was several roaches in the room . The staff was good and the overall area was good just the room we stayed in was Not what we expected from MargaritaVille .
