This was the worst stay ever... The condition of the place was run down and considerable looking from the check-in counter to the back entrance that led to our room. Old mattresses stacked by dumpster. Missing chunks of carpet on the stairs leading up to our room. Then room wasn't very nice and not cleaned well... Bathroom floor crumbling, bathmat looked moldy, hair in shower, fridge had spills and hair stuck in it, microwave unclean, blanket had boogers on it. Then when I asked for some extra towels was told they didn't have any to give me because they were low, HVAC unit ripped from Wall laying in middle of room and chair laying in hallway all broken I happened to see the day of check out as housekeeping was cleaning rooms. This was what I feel was completely unacceptable conditions for renting hotel rooms and being a Head housekeeper and house keeper my self I would be embarrassed to even have allowed this to occur especially with the rates they are charging per night. They're called a super 8 but should be called "Go to another place".

Super 8 St. Cloud

This is a dated hotel. It needs a total refurbishing. The only positive thing I have to say is that the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were clean, and the staff were friendly.

I wouldn’t even give this a one star! We got to the hotel to check in, not a single employee in sight! Sat there for over an hr, trying to call, and make noise for someone to hear and no one was there. Office doors and important paperwork left for anyone to grab and read, security cameras left up for people to see. A man on some sort of drug was hanging out in one of the halls while the building was unsecured and unattended, We left and didn’t end up staying due to safety!

TERRIBLE

I checked into the Super 8 hotel - Expecting a half decent stay. What I received was Way Less than anyone should expect. The breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, waffle - juice or coffee - no fruit - just lifeless. Then I had a problem of getting my room cleaned (See the Photos) Plus - my toliet would not flush, so the desk employee brought up a plunger and stated that I had to fix it myself - since they have no maintenance staff for that stuff - REALLY !!!, And the smoke detector was covered in plastic for which I received no explanation. And - I did Not get my room cleaned - I was told the cleaning staff must have missed my room and there was nothing they could do about it. So after leaving the hotel before the end of my stay - I was promised a refund for the day I left only to check credit card to find - that I did not receive a refund and I was double billed for my stay. This happened in April 2025.

Very old. Stained lampshade, stained floor. Cracked sink. Water dripping, tried to turn off. Everything super low in bathroom. Pillows were broken in to small little pieces, rock hard. Very dirty outside. Felt safe enough. Should have been cheaper, but I think St. Cloud is just an expensive college town.
