This place has a lot of wonderful history and charm. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The bar was out of stock of all beverages when we were there but we made due. The area is somewhat walkable.

Striving for Motel 6 quality and failing 😂

Overall quality of the room itself was incredibly lacking. It appeared whoever attempted to repair and renovate this room was learning off YouTube as they went along. Walls had patched over cracks that looks like a 5th grader did it. Entire room was dusty to the point you could write your name on any surface. The distribution center for body wash conditioner, and shampoo in the shower did not work. The room smelled like flatulence. Sheets were incredibly wrinkled. That made me curious if they were actually washed. Pillowcases had discoloration from previous stains. Check in was just very awkward. Everything was prepaid yet. It seemed to be an inconvenience for them. They tried to force a $50 valet fee instead of telling us where the parking garage was, but I was able to sort that out and self park. You are allowed to bring pets at this hotel. Unfortunately some of these pets bark at 4 AM and wake you up. We did have a drink at Robbie‘s before our plans for the evening. The bartender was very, very nice and made well balanced quality drinks.

Theyneed to do a better job of making sure the rooms are thoroughly clean. They think just making the sheets and wipe in the toilet down in the sink are good enough. The bathroom walls were dirty, scuff marks all over the bedroom walls, if you take a look at the lamp stands all of them, have a gross film and dog hair on them.
