We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. It does not offer value for money, the property looks very neglected. We were woken at 6:30 am by a faulty fire alarm that went off blaring for 30 minutes. Our room was not serviced, and the breakfast options were very limited! I would not recommend staying here.

The room is just super outdated. The chairs are old and worn, the bed was comfortable enough, but the linens were old, it really needs to be updated. It was very tired. I have for $350 a night. It seemed to me it should’ve been nicer, there’s no elevator which is fine, stairs were old. The bathroom was fine. It was clean but again outdated. It certainly was not a luxury experience. All the staff I interacted with were perfectly fine. It’s not really walkable, except for to the alchemist brewing company and a pizza joint and a couple of other restaurants. It’s a little off the path from the primary downtown part of Stowe.

Stoweflake was not what I hoped but had some redeeming qualities. First the positive- The property was expansive. We stayed in a condo and had a very private place. It was conveniently located. The negative- The email confirmation stated check-in was at 3- we were not allowed to check in until 4:00. When I showed the email, staff were unapologetic and borderline rude. The place was dirty- it was evident it had not been vacuumed. There was hair in the shower. The furniture in the lobby/ breakfast area and the room was old, worn and dirty. I didn’t sit on the couch on our condo it seemed so dirty. Staff in general were not friendly. I do not ever write negative reviews but given the cost of staying here it seems there needs to be some changes.

Room was fine although we were expecting queen beds. Shower temp was too low. Property was obviously in need of a refurbishment with lots of observable deferred maintenance. Hauling our large,heavy suitcases up a flight of narrow stairs with pealing painting and deteriorating fake wood components was a little unnerving. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Towel heating rack was a very pleasant surprise. Large very complete gym facility. Breakfast area needs more seating/tables and a reliable circuit breaker. Seems like microwave and toaster in simultaneous use blew the breaker.

The room was clean and spacious. There is no air conditioning, so it was rather stuffy. We opened both windows, but one crank was not very functional and the window only opened a small amount and had to be pulled back in later. A small piece of the other crank came off, but was able to be put back on and remained functional. The bathroom toilet paper roll bar was not the one that should have been used with the bar holder and popped out every time you touched the roll. The shower had water, but no pressure, so you had to stand next to the wall to get rinsed. Breakfast was sustenance, but nothing to write home about. I was very excited to stay here, but was sadly disappointed especially considering the price.

Too pricey, no minibar in the room, shower not working properly, poor breakfast, almost no place to seat, although we have seen some rooms near the lobby in wich there were buffets been served for other guests. And I had reserved (TO PAY AT PROPERTY) two rooms for me, my wife and a couple of friends, we were going to split the bill, but the total was already charged in my credit card, two days before we arrived.

We had a great check in experience and we were pleased with the facility. There are some needed repairs in the general building, but nothing that had an effect on our stay. I enjoyed the pool and the outdoor hot tub! The breakfast served was a typical continental breakfast. Would stay here again!

This hotel was just OK. I thought I paid for a luxury room ($390) but I got a motel type room in the Sport West wing. It was clean but dated and not near worth that $ amount. We did stay in October which is probably peak season but just didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Staff was pleasant and location was good.
