This hotel was hard to find by foot off train since front door is in back of a building. It was nice for a hotel just to sleep at overnight or with a family since it was more apartment style. It was definitely not as clean as the other hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan, but we were here less than 8 hours to catch our flight early morning so I didn’t mind.

I loved everything about Hundred Stay. Our 2-bedroom Mercury was on the top floor with a great view. It had a small kitchen and was the perfect size for my son and me. The Okubo area is teaming with ethnic restaurants, including Koreatown which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. There’s a grocery store next to the hotel, and the Okubo stop for the Chuo line is a a few minutes away. The Chuo line took us directly to the Ghibli Museum and Nakano Broadway, and is one stop away from Shinjuku, a major hub. We spent 10 nights here, and would 100% return.

Great location to Shin-Okubo & W/D in room!

Hotel was willing to let me drop off my luggage prior to check-in (and accepted my luggage transfers). My room had a convenient W/D machine (it takes over 3 hours to wash and dry but dries better than other machines). Room was spacious (2 Twin Beds and 1 Twin Bunk Bed) but bunk bed location got hot from W/D. Fortunately it had a plug-in fan to use. Fantastic view from our room and the shower but there was some mildew around. It's a large enough room to comfortably hold more than 4 large suitcases, stroller, and car seat.

Only stayed for one night so I didn't get to explore the nearby area as much. The amenities provided were sufficient, the view of the hotel room was really nice, and the staff worked efficiently during the check-in and check-out process. Love that the hotel stores luggage, has a scale and repackaging area.

Nice clean hotel, good room size, generally quiet at night. Amenities include a gym facility and washing machines guests can use. Staff were helpful, if not overly friendly but this varied based on who was at the desk at the time. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants in the area but perhaps the restaurants are not as nice as many travelers would prefer when compared with say Shibuya or central Shinjuku. Still we enjoyed some simple meals like rice bowls, noodles and good coffee within a few mins walk of the hotel. 25min walk to center of Shinjuku; 3min walk to Chuo-Sobu line and 10min walk to Yamanote line. Super convenient spot for metro transit. Was a good base of operations for exploring Tokyo.
