The staff is very helpful and can speak English well. The hotel price is reasonable and the room is clean. It is just a block away from Ueno most busy areas.

The staff was very helpful for the most part. I was very disappointed that when I left a neck travel pillow in the room by accident, they said it wasn't found and they could not ask the person cleaning the room about it. The hotel was very convenient and in a good area for dining options, shopping and walkable, close to transportation.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Wing for a week during our first visit in Tokyo. First the location is perfect. We were close to Ueno station, Ueno Park and local restaurants. The staff didn’t speak much English but was very friendly and helpful nonetheless. The room was expectedly small but we made it work. The shower room was very convenient and room was clean with a simple and organized setup. The price was also very reasonable.

The hotel is clean and nice, size of room is good. However when i was checking in they tried to put me in a smaller room dispite my booking so i had to get them the change that after i showed them it was incorrect. I was unhappy with the fact they want to change to store baggage as the one hour they are willing to hold it its just in the lobby and know one is actually watching it. Most hotels have a locked room which is far more acceptable. Ive actually never experienced someone charging to store luggage in any hotel ive stayed in. and ive been in japan almost 3 weeks. The amenities are pretty good.

The Wing is a nice place for your standard rook with no frills and thrills. Good for an inexpensive room that is clean and comfortable. That’s all you need, while visiting Tokyo. Area surrounding the hotel is close to shopping areas, Ueno park and zoo is close by and also Asakusa and Kappabashi.

My first time in Japan with the language barrier my stay was very comfortable and the customer service by the front staff was excellent. I appreciate that the hair products they provided were of good quality it has resolved mt hair frizziness.

Convenient & Decent Facilities

Helpful and professional reception staff. We arrived early and they checked us in, but as the room wasn't available until 2pm, they let us store our suitcase at the counter. At check-out, they can keep your suitcase until 12pm but after that you have to use the coin lockers (there are some inside the hotel entrance). The room was a little cramped - we are 2 average sized Asians and felt there wasn't much room to move around. Good enough for a place to clean up & sleep in. The room is equipped with a kettle, a tiny safe (depth & width enough for A5 folder) and a mini fridge (no freezer section). There were plugs & USB charging ports at the desk & bedside. No wardrobe, but there were 2 pegs with hangers, & they provided pyjamas! Toiletries are provided in the bathroom & reception area. The towel exchange is a little confusing - reception staff told us to put our unused towels out, but the signage in the room seemed to say we should put our used towels out for exchange. They can be quite early too: once we were a bit late (9am) putting out the sign for no towel exchange, and opened the door to find they had already given us new towels. The 2nd floor lounge was nice - microwaves, hot/cold water dispenser, free soft drink fountain, snacks & drinks for purchase. It's a good location close to convenience stores & food/shopping. It's close to the Ueno stations - you can actually walk underground to exit 3 (but no lift) instead of dragging your luggage through crowded strees.
