This was a last resort choice as all other hotels in the downtown core were booked or outrageous. The hotel is part of a strip club / gentlemen club in the basement and which uses the same entry door and name as the hotel up stairs. So think of very old rooms that at one time were probably rented by the hour.

This hotel is not for everyone. It is bare-bones budget hotel that shares a building with a strip club. If you are OK with that, then it might work for you. The sheets are threadbare but clean. The room is stuffy but there is a fan. You have to run the taps for a LONG time to get hot water, but there is hot water. The hotel decor is dated but very clean. The staff is excellent. I had a great stay. I had researched the hotel beforehand so I knew what to expect.

Fun for Dudes

This place is as simple as simple gets and something of a step back in time to when private eyes needed a quick place to set up shop to snoop on a potential cheating spouse below deck (the gentleman's club downstairs). I'm here for it...but only as a solo traveler. It is not necessarily a place where couples would normally consider, unless you are looking for affordable, offbeat fun. I thought it was pretty great myself, and it's not far from major tourist destinations. Of note: It's a lot of stairs going up to checkout. Pack light!

The room and bathroom was clean and as expected for a 2star facility. The bed and bedding was adequate. The 1 hand towel and 1 "bath towel" provided for 2 guests for a 2 night stay were threadbare, thin and gray but smelled clean. Would consider bringing your own. On a positive note we had a problem with the toilet on arrival that was dealt with quickly and effectively. The hotel was quiet at all hours of the day and night. I would not walk around that area at night alone but in daylight if you walked with confidence there were no issues.

The rooms have basic features to stay for a night or 2 but the area is horrible and the amenities need updating. The shower floors are an issue and lots of homeless people that will constantly bug you for money.

The rooms are absolutely as basic as is possible. No shampoo or body wash. If you want to iron a shirt then you have to do it in the laundry room without anywhere to place the small ironing board apart from maybe on the floor. Beware that this hotel is above a gentlemen's club. I use this term because I don't think other terms are permitted in reviews here. The surrounding area a terrible and not somewhere that everyone would feel entirely safe. Would I stay here again? No I would not.

Hotel as advertised. Decent size queen room, clean. Fan but no ac. In summer, book room with ac! All previous reviews I read were accurate. Not the bad ones, though.

The hotel is not what it seemed as advertised. There is no air conditioning. It is very dated. The bathroom is extremely dated and not what was expected. There is also a gentleman's club downstairs. Not appreciated.

This is a very old property. The ground floor houses a strip club.The only hotel I have ever stayed in that did not provide: shampoo, conditioner and body wash & only one mini bar of soap. One towel that was threadbare, no facecloth or hand towel. No elevator, no A/C. The worst is the mattress & pillows should have been tossed 10 years ago. It did have a decent TV.
