Poor experience

Overall, poor experience. My girlfriend and I stayed at the resort from Friday-Sunday. We were given a room that felt like it was in a basement (technically first floor but you had to take an elevator down from the lobby to access it). Nobody offered to help us with our luggage and the concierge acted like we were bothering her by checking in (sorry?). The hallway where our room was located smelled and echoed very loudly, making our room VERY loud and noisy, especially at night. We had to knock on our neighbors door to ask them to keep it down because we could hear everything. The sound proofing in the room needs to be upgraded significantly. No turndown service/cleaning, etc. was offered and the sign in our room said fresh towels were only available by request by calling the front desk. For $300 a night, it wouldve been nice to at least have our room cleaned once without having to ask. Disappointing experience because we had heard good things from friends. Given the price, we had much higher expectations.

Beautiful location. Front desk staff was awesome. The rooms and most of the hotel inside is in need of a facelift. The bathroom in our room was not in good shape. On the third day we had to call and ask if someone was going to clean our room and give us clean towels because our room wasn’t cleaned. I do realize they clean after two days but ours was still not done until we asked late in the day on the third day. The pools were great for our grandchildren and they enjoyed their stay for sure. It is a great place to stay but needs some updating.

This property is not accommodating and beyond over priced for what you get. The walls are paper thin. Most of the shops and dining close early, unless you want to pay $100 per person for dinner. There is a charge for everything they offer plus they charge a resort fee. The marketplace for snacks closes early so no late night snacks or drinks. The bar in the lobby was never open. The shuttle doesn’t take you to the airport if your flight is the first one out. That’s not mentioned on the website. The Den for kids is a small room and their prices are outrageous. No room service for dinner except Wednesday- Friday. This establishment calls themselves a resort because they are on a golf course. Save your money, the golf course is open to the public. Stay down the road and travel here, but not by Uber or Lyft unless you want to spend $30 for a 2 mile ride. Absolute disappointment.

I had high expectations for this resort but it fell short in a few areas. There was a fingernail in the sheets which makes me feel like they were not cleaned. The AC didn’t work so we had to open the windows up. That was fine the first night but the second night music was blaring until I called the front desk at 1AM. The staff was nice.
