We are at a local pub but getting a taxi was a real pain. We were given a list of taxi services by the reception staff and asked to organise ourselves. The hotel should have a contract with a reliable firm as this was not a great start to our stay. Otherwise the hotel was very nice and a great setting. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was fine apart from lazy parents allowing kids to run around. We decided to eat in the Hunnington restaurant at the hotel on the second evening and that was an excellent decision. The food was fabulous and the service was equally as good. Madeline was a superstar. The facilities are really good and a great place for a relaxing stay, notwithstanding selfish parents and lack of taxis.

I loved the quietness and how clean the place looked its my 4th time this year. I booked a classic not knowing i booked a disabled wet room so that wasnt correct in the write up when is states a bath/shower. Went to get a drink of lemonade and it tasted like soda water and it was like dirty water. Next thing couldnt open the windows all locked. Then went to have a shower no shampoo or conditioner in the pots provided. Lucky we brought our own. Overall it wasnt a great experience this time round.

Everything about this property was picture perfect from the staff to the venue to the scenic area. However my one issue was getting there and back without a car. Transport could be improved but excluding that the stay was absolutely incredible.

We stayed for two nights in order to attend a wedding in Hailsham. The hotel’s at a spacious area and pleasant surroundings. The checkin was speedy. We were pleasantly surprised about how spacious and comfortable and clean our room was. The way the bed was ‘decorated’ gave us the feeling of a welcoming gesture from the hotel. Everywhere in the room is spotless and the decoration is warm and refreshing. We were served by a lovely lady at the restaurant where we dined although the food was nicely presented, couple of the dishes did not quite matched the rest of the offer of the hotel. Nevertheless, we loved the bread rolls and the service. The health club is amazing with everything to the highest level of quality level. The checkout was fast. The lobby is huge with many seats for guests to enjoy chats and relax with friends and families with some beverages on the comfy seats.

Good for golfers

I think people play golf will like to stay here. Very spacious lobby and a nice bar. Room overlooking the golf course offers a spectacular view. Bed is comfortable. However, the coffee mugs are always dirty with stains. Booked the spa massage. Waste of money. Massage not up to standard. Breakfast has good variety of foods. Taste is just so so.

This has to rank as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at (including holidays abroad). The room was incredible, it was one of the luxury suites. Every little thing had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Staff were very helpful and polite. They really added to the experience. As for the leisure facilities the pool has to be the best I’ve seen for a hotel spa. Add to that a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna what more could you want. We’ll be looking for any excuse at all to return.
