Room was very nice. Cozy and private. The check in staff were very informative and helpful. The breakfast was hot with eggs, sausage, potatoes, paper thin bacon, and cereal/bread options. Overall much better than just a continental breakfast. The view was the best part of breakfast though. Beautiful little sunroom overlooking a garden and the ocean. The gardens are serious neglected but still charming. Overall great stay in a historic hotel.

They have a banner for their renovations to be completed in 2023, it’s looks as if that isn’t even in progress The restaurant was closed and they are using an area or room and calling it a restaurant. They only serve a premade breakfast. The place is rundown and is in need of a complete restoration. Our room was old and cold. The thermostat would not go above 68 degrees, water damaged walls, a gap on the bottom of the door. Old and sagging TemperPedic mattresses. The hot water wasn’t hot and the metal ring around the shower control was not attached to the shower wall. I guarantee there is mold growing somewhere in those walls. $10 for parking even though it’s basically a ghost town there. This place should be leveled.

No, the breakfast menu was that of a seven eleven.The tables were all dirty, one person was trying to handle the whole thing. As far as the room conditions, a room was clean.Bathroom was clean, but there are no exhaust fans which hold a lot of moisture inside of the unit i could smell the lead paint and the humidity under the years.And years of wood as well as the popcorn ceiling that had probably asbestos, I work as a abatement, tester.So I definitely know that smell

At check in the staff member was friendly and polite. She explained the property layout very well. Once we got to our room which was the King ocean view suite we noticed that it was a little aged and maybe not quite what was advertised. Opening the curtains we could barely see the ocean because the amount of dirt on the outside of the windows which couldn’t open. Moving on the door looked like it was kicked in recently. Neither one of the two tv remotes both down volume and channel worked. Or the thermostat down button. Getting into the shower we noticed the lack of towels and wash cloths and found the dispenser in the shower was completely empty. We are not a super critical couple and will normally roll with the punches but come on. Based on the single night stay in town we just put up with the situation and continuously made jokes about it. We also had gotten another room for my mother in law which was a little cleaner and the remote worked. So thanks for that at least. At checkout the manager was rude and unwilling to listen to my issues with my accommodations not even asking for a discount or refund. We will not ever be returning to this property and will be using this as reference joke for eternity.

THE ROOM WAS A GOOD SIZE FACING THE STREET. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE HAD A ROOM FACING THE PARKING LOT, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE/UNWILLING TO ACCOMODATE US. WENT TO FIRST ROOM AND KEYPAD WOULDNT UNLOCK, SO THEY MOVED US TO ANOTHER ROOM

Breakfast was bad, with limited options and poor quality of food. Not sure how something as simple as scrambled eggs can taste weird. There was one waffle maker and a line of folks waiting for it. Most hotels with breakfast have a few options for cereal, but here there were just individual packed boxes of cornflakes. Even the red skin potatoes tasted strange. I dont think the cook is doing anything wrong… its just probably the subpar products that are used in the kitchen

Good size room cleaning this could be better definitely outdated water temperature for the shower wasn't consistent breakfast is very good service was good checking check out was easy not very clear directions where registration desk is understand they're doing some remodeling that might be part of the issue too close to freeway very noisy should expected that though
