Really large room with a kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless! The big plus was it’s literally across the street from the Beacon Hill Park! We had such a great time walking through that beautiful park. We will definitely stay at the Helm’s Inn again when we’re in Victoria.

The room we were assigned was very dark, with minimal natural light. The condition of the bathroom was below average, and lots of items had been repaired not very well. Room was clean, and comfortable. Upstairs guests could be heard when moving around and when using taps or WC. Fee we had to pay for settling our account in a different currency was ridiculous, and to add insult they charged an additional 5% on top again,and amounted to over $180.00 extra. Be aware.

So, we found this to be a great hotel!! We booked the one bedroom suite with two queen beds. The beds were soooo comfortable!! The suite also had a pull out bed / couch which we did not use. I loved the efficiency kitchen as it made it very easy to have breakfast and coffee before heading out for the day. I was, however, surprised to learn that there was no elevator in the building we were in, which was fine for every day use, but when you have 4 pieces of luggage to carry up to the third floor, not so great!
