Our 1st room had a non functioning AC unit. When we requested a new room, we were informed they could not assign another room Until maintenance came In to troubleshoot AC unit. Waited for approximately 1 hour before we could finally be reassigned to a new room, and only after we made multiple requests. The second room was dusty, and had a strong garbage odor. Bathroom supplies were low, or empty. No shower gel, and only 1 small soap bar. We needed up purchasing soap and an al purpose cleaner on our own to freshen up the room. It is also worth mentioning the room was never cleaned during our stay.

My Trip to DC

The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good, with a different meal presented daily. The Holton Downtown was close to everything in DC.

The staff was nothing but amazing to us. They took care of us the minute we arrived. Homewood offered us the best breakfast that we have ever had! The lobby was cozy and large enough to space out. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Only one elevator working and no service elevator, so the wait time was very long! Good sized rooms, but the pull-out couch bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. Breakfast was really good. And, Wednesday night happy hour was a nice surprise.

Tina took the time to listen to my needs and went above and beyond to assist me. She even followed up with a thoughtful text message to ensure I was satisfied with my stay and offered further assistance if I had any questions or needed anything else. The room was spotless, and the mattress was very comfortable, which made for a restful and relaxing night. The breakfast buffet had a great selection, and every staff member I encountered was courteous and attentive. Overall, I had an excellent experience and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this location to others.

Easy walk to the White House. Complimentary continental breakfast. Coin operated laundry. We had a 1 bedroom unit with full kitchen and sofa bed in living room. Room 708. Spacious and in good condition for the age of the property. No opening windows but fortunately good air conditioning.
