My stay lasted a few minutes. Expedia had given me the booking even though the hotel was already overbooked. The woman at the desk at the hotel could not have been nicer. The customer service person at Expedia? She couldn’t deal with anything outside her script, and her script said I’d canceled and must pay a penalty of one night’s stay (I only reserved one night). Expedia eventually “agreed to waive the penalty.” We’ll see if the refund actually happens.

Not for families. Better options close by.

The building, rooms, and grounds are terribly maintained. We had a bucket under the A/C unit to catch condensation in our room. Surfaces and bedding were clean, but vents and corners were piled with dust and dirt. The handle in the shower was loose and ready to fall off. When we realized the body wash pump was empty, I asked the concierge to refill or give us something to wash with. Roberto explained that he couldn’t and it would be refilled the next day. Around the pool was littered with weeds and cigarette butts. The pool itself hadn’t been skimmed. We spent the first 30 minutes cleaning it before getting in. Once in the pool, we noticed a missing drain grate on the bottom of the pool. Large enough for a child’s foot to fit into. This was easily one of the worst experiences my family or I ever had traveling together. It is by far the most overpriced and underwhelming Holiday Inn experience. Many better options in the area we wished we had chosen.

Booked reservation via expedia.com. Hotel charged me for the stay on top of Expedia. I was double billed. Cannot get resolution to solve this problem. Local hotel won’t answer/return phone calls. IHG corporate has been very helpful, but puts this off on the local hotel. I am disputing charges with my card issue.

At check in we were told the pool was unavailable, and, according to another guest, it had been down for a few weeks. The room was very clean and comfortable! The A.C. worked well! Breakfast was average with bacon, 2 types of omelets, biscuits and sausage gravy, various muffins,and milk, juices, or coffee. However, the area where breakfast was served had no air conditioning because that unit was broken. At 6:30am the temperature was already low 70's.
