Charming cottage with WiFi and AC on a Ranch setting in Oakdale
As a country boy I loved the simple country setting. It was a perfect stopover for my wife and I as we traveled through the Central Valley to checking out the almond bloom, plus it’s right basically in an almond orchard. It’s a sweet spot.

Holiday Inn Express Oakdale by IHG
The parking is atrocious. Not a lot of spaces with a lot of contractors driving bigger sized trucks, not semis but larger pickup trucks double parking. Gotta be better! Also, 1 washer and dryer per hallway. You have to pay 3 dollars but all the way at the front desk. The dryer I used, failed on 3 ...

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Modesto
It was a good stay minus the air conditioner not fully working. I notified the staff twice about it and unfortunately nothing was done. Luckily the weather wasn’t to hot so it was bearable. And of course the ATM machine wasn’t working so felt bad I couldn’t leave a tip for the housekeeping.
