Our room was big, key pad to get into room was nice, but no one to talk to if we had an issue. Construction next door was loud and couldn't sleep in if we wanted to.
Several people recommended we stay in Northeat Harbor rather than the very crowded Bar Harbor. Colonels Suites was very convenient and walkable for the small town of Northeast Harbor. Unfortunately due to staffing issues, many restaurants were either closed or had reduced hours, so not as convenient as we had hoped. Refrigerator, microwave, and very nice on-site laundry facilities made things easier. We wish we could have enjoyed the downstairs restaurant more, but we were in Acadia when they opened at 11am, and usually didn’t return until after the place closed.
The unique thing about this location is that there is no front desk. You recieve your room info via text or email and your good. With the bakery and restaurant downstairs you really can just sit back and relax. The restaurant and bakery break your wallet either great food great prices.

Pluses and Minuses
-First the pluses, good location on the modest main drag of Northeast Harbor. Located above a very nice bakery and restaurant. Very clean. Bed comfortable (firm). Good sound proofing (I only heard the crying baby when I was in the hall). Very effect air conditioning
-Minuses Although their website and Expedia listing states daily housekeeping, there was no housekeeping at all. Someone did bring extra toilet paper on request. Requested extra towels did not arrive. It is advertised as a suite. The "living room" in our unit, number 5, was approximately 10 x 10 feet. There was a small sofa and end table, but no table for eating. There is a frig, coffeemaker and microwave, two glasses, two mugs but no plates, etc, so I'm not sure if the advertised "kitchenette" applies. Wi-fi was very spotty and mostly non-existent.
The room was much larger than anticipated. Didn’t realize it was a suite with a large separate living room and kitchenette, and then an large bedroom, and a decent size bathroom. Very clean, no service during the visit but could request clean towels and linens. It was a great set up and wish we could have stayed longer. The bakery directed us upstairs to our room (keys were in the door) and helped us navigate as to where to park. We would gladly stay here again!
The staff are very responsive. We had to text them to get the tv to work and received a call back immediately with a simple explanation. TV worked fine after that. Great place to stay.
Great place in the middle of a quaint little town, close to Bar Harbor. The King Suite was very spacious, with 2 TVs, and 2 A/C units. The entire place was spotlessly clean, and the restaurant was very good. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely stay again.
It was like being at home on vacation. It was the perfect little set up for an amazing vacation. Well worth the price.

We were not told before we arrived that there was no elevator. We are older and have a difficult time with stairs. The building was very old. The room was nice and had been remodeled. Just very inconvenient for us. Never saw anyone who worked for the hotel, the keys were left at a business downstairs.
Great suite with updated fixtures. Superb location in a quiet village with upscale boutiques and shops about 20 minutes from Bar Harbor out of the hub bub. There is a flight of stairs to reach the suites, but worth it.
Owner is considerate when I was very late, hold by heavy traffic jam, for check-in, worrying I would be trapped outside of the door. However, the owner had already completed everything for check-in and left note for later-arrival. Comfortable stay.
Just one thing that might be omitted: some hair were found when I lifted the prepared quilts.
The place was wonderful, and the full breakfast was awesome. Bed was hard, and we were supposed to have a sofa Bed. We did have a sofa, but it didn’t make a bed. It was very clean.

The location was very good and near the bus line into Bar Harbor. The restaurant & bakery below the hotel was convenient and had good food at a reasonable price. They supplied ample towels, but not enough glasses & cups. No microwave. It is not handicap friendly. Not sure they mentioned such when booking online. The bedspread was not clean upon arrival and I had to ask them to clean it. There were no pictures on the bedroom walls to add to a cheerful ambience. The stair carpeting seemed dirty all the time and parking is difficult even though we always found a space. I would not seek this place out again.
