Solid destination, as it is right by Las Ramblas, so there is access to shopping centers, restaurants, and the metro. The front desk was super nice and welcoming and are willing to give out recommendations for checking out the city. Even though the place is right by las ramblas, the rooms are secure behind thick walls, so I didn’t hear a thing outside. Overall, terrific hospitality!

Great potential, but a long way to go

The hotel's stuff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and the location is amazing, right by Las Ramblas. However, the hotel desperately needs a renovation. The elevator only fits two people and is very slow which can lead to a long wait to get inand out, especially with luggage. The rooms are not very nice and welcoming, the windows don't open, the floor is visibly old and the portanble air-conditioning is so abnoxiously loud to the point it's difficult to sleep with it on. The plumbing is so old you vividly hear the bathroom and showers above yours when trying to sleep. There is no lobby, you walk into a short hallway leading to the reception desk and elevator. The outside wall of the hotel is under construction so there is no view of the city at all from the only window at the room.

This property is in poor condition, smelled like urine and smoke and sewer back-up. I booked via Travelocity only to arrive and be told that my room didn’t include a bathroom. I ended up paying an extra $15 per day for a toilet. The room was tiny, Every time you exit you must turn your key in to the front desk. Stains everywhere, weird and slow elevator, otherwise 125 steps to the 4th floor. Buyer Beware!!!!

My mom and I stayed there, Room 208 😊 On 7/15 through the 18th. 2025. The highlight of the hotel, is the PEOPLE who work there. The front desk staff was so nice to us, very friendly, very genuine. I want to say “Thank you for giving us a GREAT” experience on our first trip to Barcelona, Spain. Thank you for all the info, and suggestions 💗 God bless you, and hope to see you again.

The property was clean, the service was good, it was in a good location and was safe. This place is for those who appericate a clean room with no frills. There was construction on the front of the building and was unable to open the windows. It felt as though we were in a cave. We were lucky to have a room with a private bathroom. This is basiclly a glorified hostel, with s hotel price. Google the name, it will come up as "An Un Assuming Hotel".

One of my worst stays in my entire life !! The hotel rooms were very old with poorly barely working a/c. Full of insects and cockroaches. Second, we were trapped in the elevator for 45 mins and the reception guy was very uncooperative and ignored us for a while and only threatened us that we’ll pay for fixing the elevator after we tried to open the door for breathing. Third, the hotel room was supposed to overlook the plaza catalunya, but after we booked a non refundable stay, the hotel sent us that there are renovations on the facade and balconies aren’t accessible nor the view. Fourth, there were renovations on the balconies and the windows weren’t sealed and the rooms were full of dust even after cleaning. The only two good things were the other staff members who were really cheerful and tried to help… and the location which is really central.

The staff were super friendly. The room was very clean. We were given a very good recommendation for a restaurant- excellent tapas . There was an issue with the door lock and it took a day to fix, but they were very responsive and dedicated to making sure I was satisfied. I will stay there again next year
