Sophy is a beautiful hotel - our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. My only criticism is that the restaurant closed at 9:30pm and the bar closed at 9:45pm which seemed very early on a Saturday night.

Stupendous stay

This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in! The outstanding art everywhere including the bathrooms, the exquisite decor and design, the impeccable service, immaculate rooms beautifully appointed and lit. The excellent food, make this hotel a jewel. I know where I’ll be in Chicago when. Visit next! I wish that they were in every city in the US and abroad !

Staff is top notch. The location is phenomenal and cozy. Parking at the hotel was easy and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious. This might become my new go-to Chicago hotel. The room is spacious and so well appointed. There’s a cute record player and two records to play. Honestly it’s giving Blackness and Black Excellence and it’s everything I hoped for in a Hyde Park hotel.
