Terrible Food at Resort

The hotel itself was fun. The pool was great. The hotel was clean. The food at the resort was very extremely expensive and not good at all. Specifically the Red Panda restaurant….$73 for 3 combos of chicken, ride and egg roll. The staff was very unprofessional, didn’t know the menu, etc. We ordered and sat down to eat and a man across from us in the food court was throwing up. We had an ok stay but definitely wouldn’t stay again.

There was major construction work being done in the build where our rooms where located instead of just closing that side down. The bed linen had pens, hair bands, and spills on them and what looked to be sand and trash at the head of the bed. The elevator broke down twice once with is in it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel until all renovations are completed.

Amazing location close to the disney parks, lots of family fun without even having to leave the hotel. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Loses a star for 2 reason, 1, there are not enough seats at the pool; we had to leave our things on the floor by a tree and at lunch we ate on the floor in the burning hot sun. Other issue is the parking is a bit difficult/confusing. But even with these issues, we had a great time.

We chose this location because of the water park feature. While there, 2 of the waterslides and the the pool were closed. We were given various times when the pool would be opened, but it didn't happen. Also, the fire alarm went off in the hotel so the pool area had to be cleared of the hundreds of people who were there. Finally, when we decided to leave because we couldn't use the pool, we wanted to rinse with the outside shower before leaving the facility. I pulled the cord to start the shower and it came off in my hand.

It took over an hour to check in, after we checked in they hounded us about going on a timeshare tour. It was a nightmare. There was so much construction that alot of thenstuff was closed. The food was overpriced and the elevators were not working. It was loud past 11 and we paid over 700 for 3 nights. Waste of money

The rooms are clean and well maintained. Parking is very limited, I understand this is a busy time of year but it was outrageous to have to drive around the entire resort over and over again to find any parking. We also waited in line for 40 minutes to check in, and the day of check out I noticed an unexpected charge of a little over $300 dollars to my bank account. I brought this up at the concierge desk where I was informed it was “pending” but had been corrected, therefore would not be processed. The next day the money was withdrawn from my account, I called guest services and was told I was mistakenly charged and should receive a refund in 5-7 days. Fingers crossed I actually get my money back.

I’d like to start saying we had to move from westgate to this Holiday Inn because of non availability in the other hotel I was staying. First, the check in process was 1 hour. 2-3 people attending the front desk at 4pm (which is the check in hour). Second, after paying $175 when booking they charged me $65 for the resort fee and $30 per car (of course plus taxes) Third, after checking in we noticed it started to rain so the pools were closed. Stopped raining at about 9 pm so since the pools are 9-9 we were unable to enjoy of the “resort amenities”. Fourth, the ac on the rooms wouldn’t work as it supposed to. Only worked at that temperature in the entrance and the thermometer is there so it stops right away. Fifth, the check out is supposed to be at 10 after they opened the pool at 9 so again no resort amenities were able to be enjoyed. Sixth, they were cleaning the big pools when they are supposed to be open for people to enjoy. THEY SHOULD HAVE CLEAN IT AT THE TIME THE POOL IS CLOSE SO PEOPLE CAN ENJOY THEIR RESORT AMENITIES (which I remind you is $65). The only things open is the mini golf, básquet ball court, kids areas. Seventh, there is not enough chairs for you to sit while in the recreational areas. Eighth, there is not enough parking. Even if you pay $30 dollars for it. We ended up parking in the very back part of the hotel and our building was 12 next to the lobby and at night we had to park outside where NO SECURITY WAS THERE JUST THE CAR AT OUR OWN RISK.

The hotel was overall great. They are great w customer service and check on the guest frquently throughout the stay via text to confirm that the visit is going well. The pool and waterpark area was fun and as advertise. Definitely recommend. We had a few leak issues in the room, but once notified they sent someone timely to rectify the issue. Thats my only reason for giving it a 4 star.
