The room was in excellent condition. The bed was hard and we could have used a few more pillows.
The front desk personel were GREAT, especially Valesia and Matt, who provided us with 30th Anniversary surprise gits in our room.
The restaurant staff, on the other hand, were a quite different story. I purchased a $48 NY strip dinner to bring to tge room for a romantic anniversary dinner. When the restaurant manager handed it to me, my bill was precisely $60, as it included an "automatic 18% gratuity", even though I picked it up at the restaurant to bring to our room. My wife DID NOT want someone else delivering it for our privacy. To make matrers worse, the meal was in a cardboard box in a paper bag. When I opened the box, the steak was literally in a puddle of mashed potatoes. Additionally, the restaurant manager told me that dishes and silverware are not allowed in the room, so she gave me plastic utensils. A $60 steak with a plastic knife, fork and spoon? When I asked for plates, she apologized and said she didn’t have any paper plates, and gave me a pair of large saucers (bot even fullnsized plates. Overall, it was a disgusting presentation and terrible service. The next day I complained to the front desk manager. He broght in the restaurant manager who apologized and refunded the meal. She said they will continue with this type of service until they use up the cardboard box inventory. UNBELIEVABLE!
