Overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Golden Gateway was mixed. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff inside the hotel were friendly and helpful during our stay. However, we had an issue with the security outside late at night. We came back around 2 a.m. and didn’t realize we needed to scan our key card to enter the building. The security guard on duty just pointed at the door without saying anything, and we were left standing there for several minutes trying to figure it out. Only after a while did he finally point to the key scanner so we could get in. It was confusing and frustrating, especially that late at night. Other than that, the stay was fine — but clearer communication from security would’ve made a big difference.

Great corner room with ama,ing nighttime views of the city bed super comfy. No coffe available until 6:30am other than the horrible room option. No lobby coffee which is a big deal for me as an early riser.

Great room with view recommend 1 king bed to have that beautiful view. Property is nice but outside is unsafe and lots of homeless people around. Find pricing for parking to be ridiculous but it’s no parking anywhere sf that it’s at.

Everything was great. Except when I was booking there was the options to choose parking, breakfast, and something else. Well I chose parking because I didn’t want to pay the 25$ a day only to find out breakfast was 35$ a person! We had to pay 80$ a day for breakfast. Had I know this I would have chose breakfast and paid the 25$ for parking a day. The 3 nights we stayed parking would have been 75$ vs 240$ for 3 days for 2 people… not cool
