All pillows in the room were same type (very stuffed and firm). Made it hard for me, a side-sleeper, to get comfortable rest; woke with a kink in my neck often. Would be great if there were a couple different types of pillows available in each room. Appreciated the vegan sausage and almond milk at breakfast.

The pictures!! The late 19th century/ early 20th century pictures in the halls, rooms and lobby were fascinating, and the "summer of love" themed pictures, album covers and posters in the breakfast room were fantastic.

This hotel is in such a great location, very close to Golden Gate Park. Cole Valley area is great coffee shops and cafes. The room was small with a tiny window that looked directly out to wall, so it was always very dark. Comfortable bed. Wifi was extremely slow and this was a problem to me. Basic continental breakfast plus some cooked links and vegan patties. Pleasant happy hour. No in-room coffee. tea. no frig or microwave. They do have larger suites for higher price with better amenities

Great historic hotel in a great location

Great hotel with excellent service, nice touches. Good breakfast! They still clean the room each day. The wifi was a bit slow and disconnected a bit, but I would definitely stay there again!
