Staff was friendly. The rooms were hot. There was no windows that would open and he fans provided were very loud and didn’t work very well. We were there in June and the outside temp was only 12-18 degrees, couldn’t imagine it when the weather was 30

Very disappointing stay. All of the workers we met were very nice, and the daily cleaning was a highlight. But the air conditioner was not working for us and several other guests that we talked to. And this led to unbearable temperatures at night. At least our room should not be available for use in the summer months until the issue is resolved. Bathroom mold on the ceiling was unattractive, no channels on the old television (though you can stream to it on your device), despite the picture there is no restaurant….I don’t understand how it is rated 3 stars.

Fantastic 3-person room with great bay window and super high ceiling on the hotel's 2nd floor! Only critique would be the bathroom ventalization, which is non-existent, but not a deal-breaker for 3 guys passing through.

Thé Iron Horse Hôtel is wonderfully situated near many important sites. The staff is exceptional and I would like to especially mention Bianca, Angela, William and Khalid. The room was clean the free coffee much appreciated and room temperature was agreeable. All in all, a highly recommendable establishment.

The hotel is convenient, clean and overall fine. I usually like rooms with big windows and this was perfect, but I realised since my room faced the street, it could be quite noisy till later in the night. Apart from that, the location is very good, walking distance from the Museum Quarter, and the Leidseplein tram and bus stops. There is a supermarket next door and it helps. The reception staff at Hotel Iron House was very helpful and courteous.

This hotel was fine. The staff varied from abrasive to helpful and pleasant, depending on the day/time. It is conveniently located for walking around town. There is a supermarket next door and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the fourth floor because we needed a room for 4 people. This room is a converted attic and includes an emergency exit inside the room. The lights for the exit sign made it difficult for us to sleep.Additionally, the noise from street level kept me up until I put my ear plugs in. The bathroom shower wall was loose and came off the track a few times. It was fine, just a little weird. The location is great!

This property was nice and near town and restaurants. There is not a lift so you will have to carry luggage up narrow stairs. The property was clean and had comfortable beds. We traveled with our adult daughter and finding a hotel room for 3 in Amsterdam was tricky Hotel Iron Horse was accommodating.

The room 120 was basic but clean. Other than the sky light the room lacked windows which made it feel claustrophobic. The shower temperature control was unreliable and the water unbearably hot. The lady at reception did adjust it for us the following day. The shower and sink did not drain properly.

The property provides good value for money. It is close to major attractions. I was looking for a comfortable clean place to sleep and shower that was within my budget. If these are not your priorities and you are looking for any amount of luxury, better to pay the extra €100 per night at a more upscale hotel. Would stay here again.

Great location but the hotel is a little bit run-down and not fully comfortable (doors are always open, making the building cold). My sink drain was also broken, for instance, and the TV didn’t work. But, the place was reasonably clean. I would stay again due to the location and experience of no major problems, but the price felt high for how basic the premises are.
