The reception staff were friendly and efficient and our room was immaculate. Rydges is just a few minutes' walk from the bus station and in the heart of the city, everything is within walking distance. Construction work is ongoing opposite the building so some rooms might have noise disturbance but ours was not affected.

We had an awful experience and were woken early hours of the morning with water pouring from the roof. We were moved rooms but it was extremely disruptive. We were offered no compensation only to change rooms and were told we would hear from the manager the following day. We heard nothing despite trying to contact the manager several times after the incident and checking out. It was a very unpleasant stay.

The reception staff went out of their way to be helpful. The bar and waiting staff were good. We wanted to reuse the towels but there is nowhere to hang them. There is not enough space in the bathroom for personal wash kit.
