Absolutely stunning hotel in the middle of the square so close to everything we walked everywhere! The room was clean beautiful terrace. Great pool area. The amenities in the hotel were wonderful, but the beauty of this hotel is it smacked up in the middle of absolutely everything it is in the middle of a square that any direction you turn into will take you Wherever you want to go. Perfect highly recommend.

Best hotel for the price and location

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is in a convenient location right near the metro/train/hop on hop off stop at Catalunya. The hotel itself was beautiful. We were on the 4th floor with a terrace and it was amazing. It looks like the hotel might have recently been remodeled. Everything was new and extra clean from the wall paper to the carpet. The bathroom had the perfect shower. Rain fall and hand held faucet and a shelf to place items. They also provided a scale, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. They also provide slippers and a waffle print robe. The breakfast is worth getting as they provided a plethora of items to choose from. They had two coffee machines, an orange juicing machine, bottled water, mimosa’s, fresh bread, hot and cold areas, a chocolate and Nutella machine and the fruit and sweets were bountiful. They even had gluten free and vegetarian items. If you wanted to make a pot of tea or coffee they provided a small pot. The patio and pool area were lovely and well maintained. The court yard had shaded areas and they provided tables and chairs with umbrellas. They also provide water and candy in the lobby and you get a free large bottle of water every day in your room along with tea and coffee.

Excellent location literally right next to shopping and nearby transportation. Great friendly staff and nice selection breakfast buffet. Very accommodating. Unique gothic feel hotel that captures the gothic quarter area of Spain. Little bit run down in some areas like the stair tiles otherwise good. Would stay here again!

My 5 night hotel stay was delightful. We had a lovely terrace overlooking the pool and courtyard. The highlight of this hotel is the amazing buffet breakfast. I have NEVER had such an all inclusive breakfast at a hotel.

Excellent location

This hotel is located in an old building that has lots of character. The location is great, right in the center of town. We opted for a room with a balcony which was a good choice. The room itself wasn't very big but the balcony added light and a nice place to sit outside overlooking the garden and pool. Breakfast was good

We had a lovely stay in our street-facing room with a balcony. The room was clean and well maintained, and the location was fantastic for a ramble in the old town, shopping, and visiting Casa Batlló. It was a bit noisy on the street if the balcony door was open, but in a cheerful way, and closing the balcony sliding door and the inner door shut out 95% of the street noise. The breakfast buffet was really excellent and was a perfect way to get ready for a busy day of exploring Barcelona! I will add that the lobby had an excessive amount of fragrance that I would have been happier to do without, but that is regretfully the case in many hotels these days. I prefer clean, fresh air, but if you adore Glade plug-ins, you will probably find it pleasing. Thankfully the breakfast buffet is in a separate area, so your morning meal doesn’t taste like Febreeze. The staff was courteous and helpful, and I only regret that we had so much wine when we were dining out that we never managed to enjoy the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine provided! Overall it was a great place to stay!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEl All good until the 3rd night when a ceiling leak woke us up at 2am. Water was pouring through the ceiling light before someone finally came.We had to move all the furniture and our belongings, as no one was coming. We were moved to a down grade, though they called it premium room.They would not refund the night as we went through Expedia.We will never return nor refer Catalona, as the customer service is awful!
