All staff were wonderful! They took very good care and made sure drinks were never empty! Food was good. You can order from the menu by the pool. The nachos were the best! We went when it was quiet time, so it wasn’t very busy. It was wonderful.

Not many choices for eating. You'd think that being at the ocean they would offer more seafood but all they had was some white fish that was NOT tasty at all. We had to go to town to get seafood. I was told by a fiend that they had daily activities wirh a different theme every night. NOTHING. Will definitely stay somewhere else next time I go.

OK, not a good review, first, the report looks nothing like the pictures, the resort is in need of serious renovation. The property is very worn, needs major repairs. When we checked in the front desk staff was NOT friendly at all. They put the wrist band on my wife’s wrist so tight that she asked to have another one put on and they wanted to charge us $10.00 USD. They refused to change it so she was uncomfortable the whole week. Our room had paint all over the fixtures, the bed was so worn out that it was bent like a banana. The shower door was rusted and wasn’t even functional. The show didn’t work and it took 2 days to have it repaired. Once they did we hardly had any water pressure. We asked to move to a different room and we were told NO. On the third day the water was out in the entire reports for 4 hours. We were told by local people that that was the second time in one month that the report lost water. The pools were filthy, they were so murky that you couldn’t even see the bottom of the pool. The were napkins and trash floating in the pool. One pool was empty and the swim up bar pool was closed. The report offered only one beer selection and the liquor was cheap non brand liquor. The food was so bad that we ate out for all our meals except breakfast. You had a choice of a limited buffet or the one dining room. The fountain on the front of the hotel was empty (no water) the fountain in the lobby was empty and not working. Small things like the chess set in the lobby h

A little outdated but lots of character. Service was amazing! Snorkeling was great. Rooms were big and clean. Lots of fun things to do at hotel and the island itself. Definitely recommend!

We have stayed at Cozumeleno every year since 2012. All of the employees are friendly, accommodating, smiling, and good at their jobs! We love the food, maid service , front desk helpers, Bellman service, gardens, towel service' etc. Our only complaints are the building is old and needs to improve the plumbing and air conditioning.

The property is older but still clean which is all i care about. The staff was wonderful. The dining is limited as there is only the 1 buffet & Al a carte restaurant but we were aware of this going in go cannot complain. The food was still pretty decent for a buffet & the restaurant was tasty as well. The snorkelling was amazing. The photographer & team was amazing. No nightlife at this resort however which again i knew going in & cannot complain about. We were day time adventurers anyway. I would say very family friendly as this was not a party resort & was very quiet. All around would recommend if you want a peaceful R&R.

We stayed at El cozumeleño for a week. I reserved a room with ocean view. The view was beautiful, however the room was in poor conditions with the bathroom needing the most attention. The breakfast was good but with staff members not wearing gloves to handle food and getting soda in a dirty cup, it left us afraid of getting sick. The staff was welcoming and always so attentive.

Our overall experiwncw was great. I would have given a 5 star review except for two things, the indoor restaurant was not casual as they had a dress code and no shorts were allowed. The other thing was the resort is about a 20 usd taxi ride to the dolphin swim tour.

Keep in mind, this hotel was not expensive.. so bare that in mind but...Hotel is old, and needs some major updating. Rooms were big but OLD! Wood falling down, bathroom area old piping and old everything, Beds were old and linens were probably from the 80's. . Toilet barely flushed... Shower didn't drain. Staff were good. Buffet area was outside and had BIRDS flying around people and food. One restaurant on site and they really tried. Menu changed nightly to change things up. We got up at 5:30 every morning ( just what you want to do on Vaca) to go put our towels on Tiki chairs because we needed shade, and there were only a few. We had a nice stay because weather was great, but won't go back here again.

The pools and food are outstanding but the bathrooms in the rooms are disgusting. As well the sheets and towels are rather stained. The drinks, food and beach are amazing, along with the service. But the property is very limited by the dirty and outdated rooms, especially the bathroom.

The room was hot the first few nights. The beds are terrible and uncomfortable. The shower is dirty. There are no umbrellas around the pool areas. Two pools were not in working order. The swim up bar was not in service. The booking said there would be a refrigerator and microwave and there was none in the room. Some of the waiting staff in the morning in the lobby were crabby. The buffet food was not good. Need to have the “menu” food out on the buffet! Maybe next time it will be better if there is a next time
