I wanted to like this motel, I really did. The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. The lobby had a nice coffee and tea bar. Parking was easy. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was adequate.There was a nice sized fridge and microwave.But other issues with the room made it impossible for me to rate it higher.
The room was tiny. Yes, I booked an “economy queen” but I had no idea how small the room was. The corner of the bed was literally a foot away from the door. Very tight quarters for two people and their luggage. More towel racks are needed in the bathroom. The one on the back of the door was wobbly and couldn’t even hold a damp towel. The tub was very slippery. Non-slip strips in the tub along with grab bars definitely needed. The walls are paper thin and I had to put a white noise app on my phone to drown out noises I didn’t want to hear from neighbors. But the worst thing was during the night, some type of bug flew into my arm. It wasn’t exactly small: 3/4 to 1 inch long. I brushed it off and it flew right back on my arm. I woke up numerous times during the night, wondering if there was a bug infestation. Next morning my husband also said a bug flew in him and
