The absolute worst accommodation Ive ever stayed in. There is a surmountable damage to the property that has not been fixed. One being the door to our room. This place is unhygenic. Carpet is disgusting and the bedding smelt like perfume of which i was told later was fabreeze. Do not recommend this accommodation.

The staff were efficient and checked to see if we were still coming. There was time of 10 pm to check in or you lost your booking. Nobody would be there after that Room is in.need of up dating. Carpet was old and dirty. The bathroom had mold on the wallAnd the bath tub tap was dripping and had been for awhile enough to stain the bath tub. The bed was clean and ok. The door coming into the main lobby banged really loud until we realized we had to put the stopper down on the bottom of the door to bring in luggage. Parking not very efficient

No other hotel in the area charges for a deposit on a one night stay, I took pictures and video of our hotel room before and after we checked in and out, because they've been known to steal the deposit from their customers. Very unsafe, four rooms share an entry, there are no locks on the door to protect from strangers coming in. Signs say no smoking, but the workers smoke right in front of the hotel room window. Not safe, saw crack pipes broken beside my car when we left at 4am this morning. Couldn't sleep as people in the shared rooms were loud and banging around until midnight. Could not check in early, even though we were told over the phone we could check in at noon when we arrived into Kenora. Owner is sexist, he would not talk to me or look me in the eyes, but the moment my husband came in he spoke to him like I didn't exist. Had to beg for a receipt and a list of our charges. By far the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel/motel and I stayed at the Horseshoe in Vegas.

The office was in the cluttered store/restaurant/gas pumps. Security cameras could be viewed at check-in counter while checking your lottery tickets. Pleasant man at the desk. After viewing the room decided not to stay. Too small and old, the entrance hall security door is also worn out.

Filthy dirty Air conditioner did not work and the staff said they knew but didn’t care . Flys everywhere . dumpster outside room from the restaurant next door Mold in the bathroom tub floor and ceiling Denys in the walks both Barry abd dink did not drain .. dark dingy and the only thing that kept us cool was the stand up fan that fell over and broke at 5 am it was a rotating fan and could not open a window as it was to noisy . This place was a dump and I cancelled my second night and made sure I got proof they credited my credit card the $200 security deposit . Next time I will check reviews before booking . I was able to get a room at the Sunset Inn about 4 min away . More money but well worth the difference . I travel a lot and Lake-VU is the worst motel experience I have ever had . Manager was a prick when I complained and would not come to the room to see how bad it was .. he already knew . He did sent another staff member ti fix the TV as it was too complicated to fiqure out but he did fix it . Hot water and clean sheets was all this place had to offer but the breakfast next door in the restaurant same building was excellent just not the motel . Do not ever stay at this place it’s terrible beyond belief

The room was nice. Single traveller. First time in Kenora. The water is close by, just a 5 minute walk down the road. The convenient store, gas bar and restaurant are right there. Easy fill up and go for me. I enjoyed my stay.
