Absolutely beautiful place, our room was super cozy and the main common space for all visitors was amazing, lots of board games avalible too. Definitely would stay here again!

The room was an adequate size for our needs. The shower was a corner shower but again adequate. Noisy at times from adjoining rooms especially people arrivingreturning in the evening or leaving early morning. An allocated parking space right outside our room would have been good given our room was accessed from outside at ground level. It was mildly annoying when other guests parked outside our door. A coffee maker in the room would be a great idea again given that ours was an 'exterior' room and you have to go outside and up the external stairs to get coffee. Complimentary bottles of water would have been appreciated rather than having to pay $2 in the lobby.

Nice to go to a room at the end of a long drive and have the room be clean. It was great for what we were looking for - just a place to rest our heads while we went visiting family in Vermont.

Great friendly service. Appreciated the ease of entering and leaving the room. Room and bathroom was immaculately clean. Space was incredibly small. Banged into the tv walking around the end of the bed to go to the washroom in the middle of the night The bathroom was claustrophobic. Sink must be the minimum legal size. Shower was hardly big enough to turn around in. Finally, the place wasn’t near anything a half hour drive from Waterbury. The drive was beautiful and the area around the lodge is gorgeous. Don’t get me wrong. The place was t bad. Just much smaller than I expected. Well worth a stay if you’re ok with the space.

Great little lodge minutes from Waitsfield

Nice lodge just minutes from Waitsfield dining. Beautiful view towards mountain. One thing I’ll note: the layout with a front deck, and an internal lobby that rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors open onto, is ideal for visiting with friends and family. I was staying here on business so the late night conversations in the public areas kept me up. Not complaining! Just a heads-up about what to expect. If you stay on the first floor in rooms that open directly to parking area this shouldn’t be an issue.

Very basic facility, clean with friendly owner. Stayed in a room with queen bed, TV, shower and large extra room set up for storage of ski's, mountian bikes, etc. About a 5 minute drive to downtown area with dinners, and restraunts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and clean with sweet & helpful staff members. Only complaint is that the bedrooms get a little warm as the AC is just in the living room and not in the bedrooms. Overall great stay!

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had originally booked a stay somewhere else, and were very disappointed when we got there. We ended up leaving the place we originally booked, and so thankful that we found Mad River Lodge to turn around our weekend getaway. We would absolutely recommend and return in the future.
