Travelers need to be aware that they won’t clean your room unless asked a day prior. They won’t tell you this at check-in. If you complain why the room was NOT cleaned, they will tell you that is written on a sign at the office, and the room. It is written in tiny letters, barely readable. The room is not well lit. My room was a “dog friendly room”, however, if your dogs are small and sleep on the bed with you, note that the bed is too high and floor is tiled, potentially dangerous for dogs if they jump off the bed. Also, the the pillow cases smelled horribly, even the ‘new’ ones. I did not enjoy my stay. Do not expect a full breakfast here, no eggs, no bacon.

This property looked updated from the exterior but the room was completely unacceptable. Cobwebs were on the lamp on the desk, all over the skylight, the air vent next to the bed was also covered in dust, rust and chilled. The back of the door (bottom right) was black like someone had been kicking it with their shoe/luggage or cart, the desk chair was ripped up and the bathroom lighting was poor that my child didn’t want to go in there. We stayed for less than an hour and chose to leave.

Staff was great! Property is at walking distance to a large shopping center filled with a variety of dining options. The unit had room for improvement on the cleanliness side but overall not a bad place to stay for a trip to Monterey.

For the price of over $300 a night I don’t feel it’s a good deal. There was a toilet paper roll and trash outside the walkway. The elevator was filthy. The breakfast was not really a breakfast ants on the counter and hotel staff was lined up to eat leaving less food for hotel guests. The coffee ran out and the employee on her phone look irritated she needed to replace. The room Itself was ok.

It was a wonderful night at the hotel. The beds are very comfortable. The ocean air at night is amazing. Everyone got a good night’s sleep — both us and our kids. The room was clean, which is a very important factor for us when choosing a hotel. One of the nicest surprises was that, although the booking said the room had only one bed and a sofa, there were actually two beds — the second one pulled out from the wall. We can confidently recommend this hotel!
