The Rathbone Mansions are two stately antebellum mansions along Esplanade Avenue bordering the French Quarter. We offer our guests warm southern hospitality and authentic New Orleans atmosphere. The Mansion at 1244 Esplanade features a pool and hot tub, available to guests at either Mansion. The Mansion at 1227 Esplanade has a beautiful garden with comfortable seating to take in the lush surroundings. The Mansions are located diagonally across the street from one another, about 100 steps apart.

Enjoy watching life go by on stately Esplanade Avenue from the large front porch featured at both properties. We look forward to welcoming you and making your New Orleans visit everything you expect it to be.
The Superior Double Queen room comes equipped with memory foam mattresses, TV, microwave and mini fridge and has a lovely balcony with city views. Toiletries by Beekman 1802, coffee makers, hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided in all rooms. With access to the pool and hot tub, our Superior Double Queen is the perfect place to rest your head during a stay in New Orleans. Continental breakfast and high speed wireless internet are included.

**Please note: Many of our rooms are accessible by staircase. There is no elevator in either Mansion and we do not have staff to assist with luggage.**

Front desk clerk was always polite and helpful when we spoke. Room in need of a few small repairs (windows, walls) but nothing to be unexpected from the age of the area. Pet friendly if you are the first or 2nd floor, but coming from the third floor thats a lot of stairs to get down and outside dogs on leashes. Parking was a nightmare though, if you find a spot don’t move!

Such a beautiful place with so much history! We stayed in 301! Very clean and private! The balcony was very nice to sit on and just listen to the nightlife bustling around us. The location is perfect!

Delightful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in these historic homes. The property is lovely, and the location was excellent... close to Bourbon Street but far enough away to sleep quietly at night. Would definitely stay here again!
