Room small, yet quite comfortable. Only myself, so was cozy and carpet was clean. Nice to have bottled water and coffee in room. Check-in quick and good experience with staff at front desk. Asked for room away from stairs/elevators so I could get to sleep early. I was provided with a room in a far corner on the top floor. Perfect! (Thank You). Unfortunately, after getting to bed, noticed a smell of cologne. I picked up another of the four pillows from the bed and held it closer to my face and discovered the cologne smell was from that pillow. Only conclusion is that housekeeping took a shortcut and did not change the pillowcase, since it looked clean and unwrinkled, assuming that it was unsused and no one would notice whether it was changed from the previous guest or not. Kinda disgusting. I removed the pillowcase myself and laid the pillow and the case on the seat next to the nightstand. I was way too tired that evening to comment to the staff on this issue, so since the other pillows seemed fine, I stayed in bed. Shower door handle was loose, and when closing it, the coin shaped nut came unscrewed and fell off. Not a major thing. Seems like housekeeping might have noted this. BTW, really nice towels :-) I the early a.m staff at the front desk (<8:00a.m.) do not seem to find reason to smile. Kind of have the "I'd rather be somewhere else" look. The positives outweigh the other concerns. I will stay again in the future. Sincere regards, Bruce

I stayed here because I needed to be near JFK Airport for a flight during the government shutdown. The room was spotless, the check-in staff was courteous, breakfast was sufficient and the van was very punctual in departing on the hour for the airport. Thank you so much.
